Restraints

It looks like these new restraints are the way to go. For those of you who have been on coasters with them, what do you think? Could these restraints be implemented on other Models like Raptor or is it specific to wing riders? This leads me to my next question...does anyone know how often CP replaces restraints on their coasters? I'm still waiting for new ones on Maverick, which would make that ride perfect IMHO.

Will these restraints be able to accommodate larger riders? A member of my family is able to get on Maverick but has a hard time with a couple of the other OSTRs.

I've seen the walk of shame on X-Flight. As far as comfort goes, they're just ok. As the ride goes, the restraints get tighter. Hopefully not stuck on the brakes too long because it can be painful at times.

Completely different restraints than Maverick.

I disagree - I think these restraints are some of the most comfortable things ever created. And they give you enough freedom to move your arms. And there's no headbanging, since the transitions are graceful.

I'm going to assume that like the other coasters, this one will have a "big boy" row.

And the chances of these restraints being applied to other coasters is slim to none. Most restraints are made specifically for the exact type of train they're going on.

Well, CP doesn't have big-boy on Raptor or Mantis. I don't know why they'd start now. Besides, I don't believe the other Wingriders have them. It might not be an option here.

I don't think they're even necessary. That restraint is probably the most forgiving of any of the B&M designs.

^ I do not know about Raptor (Gardaland) or The Swarm, but Wild Eagle and X Flight both have big boy seats in row 4. The seat belts on row 4 are slightly longer and are red.

I didn't notice that. Thanks DV. I agree with Jeff though. These seats are very accommodating. I think they are very comfortable for OTSR's.

I rode X-flight about a month ago and I have to say these restraints are easily the most comfortable OTSRs I've experienced on a ride. The design of the seats in general makes this type of ride extremely comfortable and smooth. I loved X-flight, looking forward to Gatekeeper!
