Rides becoming Jerky

I noticed multiple rides seem to "jerkier" this year. The big two I noticed though were the Magnum and the Gemini. First the Magnum, I got off it yesterday and I swear the whole ride felt like a ride on the Mean Streak, the ride was bumping alot. The ride was very smooth last year! While riding the Gemini Red I noticed major bouncing throughout the ride and especially around the final turn. It started out bumpy and the operator put no brakes at all on the turn. It hurt!! So is this just me or have you guys noticed this to? I was very disappointed with the Magnum this year...

I sure do love the Magnum, the Gemini, the Gemini Red, and the Mean Streak... ;)

But seriously, I love when Magnum feels like that, so I wouldn't be complaining. As far as Gemini, why would you want them to trim the final turn? I know what you're saying, but these are the things that make the rides fun, at least in my opinion.

The only ride I noticed that I thought was jerkier than last year when I visited Sunday was Wicked Twister. All the others seemed better actually.

Thrills Around the Corner!

The older I get, the jerk-ier they feel.

Just depends where you sit on rides.

Ensign Smith and Juggalotus can get pretty jerky sometimes, too - at least if you ask me.

lol. If that's not the pot calling the kettle jerky . . . ;)

Seriously, MilleniumFan94, you might want to take out all those extraneous 'the's. Before Juggalotus accuses of being from Ohio. ;) (Old joke.)

Speaking as a forty-year-old, I don't generally find the rides to be much harsher than they were years ago. It's all a matter of finding the best seat. With Magnum, try to stay off the wheels. Ride on the middle bench is you can help it. Other people will give you more advice, I'm sure.

The same thing happens to me early in the day or late, because there are no trims. But, if you find the right seat really doesn't matter trims or no trims.

I had great rides on both Gemini and Magnum a week ago. I didn't find them to particularly rough at all. Although, that last helix on Gemini is pretty crazy without putting on the trim brakes. Actually, I was surprised at how bumpy Millennium Force seemed to be. I had always heard that Magnum was so rough (something that I have never noticed) and that Milliennium was so smooth. On finally riding Millennium Force I didn't notice that much difference in overall smoothness. What I did notice is that Magnum and Gemini give rides that are much more fun to me that Millennium.

^ Good idea. Unfortunately curiosity is wayyyyyy too abundant on the intertubes. I try to resist the temptation, but my mouse is like a magnet and youtube links are my metal. So I end up giving in. :)

Is there a reason you need to sign every post? Your name is already listed above it.

I agree with some posts above...the older I get, the jerkier the rides seem. Could be age, but could also be a combo of other factors...seat location, weather, wheels of a particular car. I'm in the minority on this, but I rode Maverick once last year and, even though the layout is great, I found the ride unpleasant. My head was jerked so hard from side to side that I pulled a muscle in my neck...and I kept my head back the whole time in anticipation of the sharp curves. And I'm a guy who thinks Mantis is as smooth as silk and do not understand how people find it unpleasant. Anyway, we are all unique.
