Schedule to Re-Painting?

Is there any type of schedule to re-painting the coasters? I've heard people say things like ".......'til they paint Mantis," or "2006 is when they are painting this coaster." Am I hearing things, or is they some type of list when the coasters at CP will get re-painted? If so, when are they painting the coasters? I know they painted Raptor last season. Thanks in advance!

I am pretty sure they just paint what needs to be painted first.  Mantis will be painted this year and Magnum is next year.  They will both look great with new paint jobs!

Speeking of Mantis being repainted, I have a question about it.

Since they painted the rail on Raptor, I am assuming that'll do it for Mantis as well.  So, what color will the rails be, yellow?

I know, pretty stupid question, but just asking.

I think that one of the colors of Mantis should be changed.  Maybe make the whole box one color or something. just my opinion.

No way, I love Mantis' color scheme....  it stands out against all the greenery around it.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Mantis looks good when it is not faded. Do you think that they will paint Demon Drop soon? It could probably use a fresh coat of paint, though I not an artist.

Demon Drop does NOT need a paint job, it needs a whole lot more than that to continue operating any further...

Lol I Saw the demon drop break down last time i went to the point. Someone got stuck half way pushed over the edge

Yeah I agree CP_bound, I just don't see Mantis having red rails.  And the only other colorful options are purple and yellow, which won't look any better.  Grey seems right.  Of course, we sorta said the same things about painting Raptor's rails green, so who knows.  Oh and the rumored schedule for painting was this:

Winter/Spring 2001 - Raptor
Winter/Spring 2002 - Mantis
Winter/Spring 2003 - Magnum
Winter/Spring 2004 - Millennium Force

All of those are what I've heard, and are right, judging by what I've heard, but... Millennium Force? I've never heard that... in fact, to be honest, that seems quite absurd. The paint wont be quite faded by then... if anything, I'd say 2006-2007 seems more realistic for that coaster, if anything.

I can't wait to see Mantis re-painted, although I think it faded quite gracefully.  I also love its color scheme, I can't imagine them changing it, it matches my Mantis shirt so well.

A while back when we were talking about painting Raptor I remember hearing that MF would be the year after Magnum.  Maybe I am mistaken though, it could just be after, but not right away.

Demon Drop looks fine, Magnum and Mantis need paint soon, Millenium is fine for a while.

Millennium Force is already quite faded in places. That surprised me because I thought the idea was to get something with a little more longevity in the first place.

Not to mention they used some bad touch up paint or something on the track by where it passes by the ramp on the way to the station.  Looks like the painters were touching up the supports, but didn't feel like changing the paint, so they just used the same color on the track! :)  Mantis looks really bad though and Magnum should definitely be next.  Magnum will look awesome with new paint - especially if they do the supports too.

2001 Magnum Crew

I noticed the fading places on Millennium also.  I think it might me ok to paint it the year ofter magnum....  If it's starting to show dullness now, it might have a paint job like Mantis' paint job in 3 years when it will be as old as Mantis was this past season.

Yeah, it definitely faded between 2000 and 2001. I was surprised by how much it had lost its luster in one year. In another 2 years, who knows?
