Soak City is over due!

I was at Soak city yesterday, and I mentioned that they need something new like a Master Blaster in the Thrill Ride thread. Does anyone agree that Soak City is over due for a new attraction? What would you guys like to see at Soak City?

Tear it down, build more coasters.:) No, I am kidding, but Soak City could use some kind of new attraction, because it almost looks boring after seeing the rest of the park. But the main reason I go to CP is not for Soak City.

I don't know if it's jsut me but when i think Amusement park I don't think... "Let's spend a day at the adjacent waterpark." There are far plenty better things to do. My opinion of course. I look at Soak City and it looks like a pip-squek compared to White-Water ehar in Atlanta!

"Your obssesed w/ that place aren't you?" (as stated by my best-friends about CP)
They need something new thats for sure
I dont think they have added any attractions for 5 years

GO SHAMROCKS!
GO WOLVERINES!
It's been three years I think. How long did it take for them to build on to the original slides. I want to say at least ten years. Then when they did it was a lot of new rides in a row.

What I would like to see is one of those huge geysers (Kings Dominion). I think it is awesome that a stream of water could become part of the Soak City/Cedar Point skyline.

Dispatch Master, This is Transport one! I'm losing control, I'm losing control!
It does need something new, and a Master Blaster would be great. But Soak City is one of the better waterparks I have been too. I could spend a whole day there and I can't say that about a lot of waterparks.
How about a bigger bar? You can make quite an afternoon sitting at Bubbles Swim up bar with a cold one and watching Magnum go back and forth.
Ohh ya! I forgot to mention that. The swim up bar was the highlight of my evening. Thank god I'm now 21. I do agree, it could be a tad larger, or extend the pool to wrap it around the other side by the beach walkway.

Honestly, I get tired of the Soak City after two hours, I don't think adding something to it would incline me stay longer.

What they need is 2-3 high-tech rides. Somewhat roller coaster like, but all different levels of thrills. They just need to incline the thrill seekers to spend a day at the water park, but I guess they would rather you pay the 38$ admission to the park.
I would like to see a second wave pool added. Michigan's adventure has a marvelous wave pool with very large waves. My wife and I spend a good portion of our time at this pool. Also, MA has an enclosed raft slide that's incredible. CP could use a good one like that. It's my opinion that MA's water park is better than CP's
Get the surfing pool like Typhoon Lagoon at Disney. Waves you can take a surfboard to- they're that big! I spend 6 hours in that pool getting smashed around and love every second of it.
I went to Blizzard Beach at Disney. I must say I was impressed!! I usually don't care for water parks, but this was just so much fun. Part of the fun was the huge mountain they have designed for it. They actually had some insane rides there. Beats the Magic Kingdom any day.
Soak City might interest more patrons if CP were a smaller park with less stuff in it. I go to an amusement park to ride coasters, rides, etc. If I want to get wet, a shower is fine for me. I was at SC one year and maybe spent 45 min-an hour there riding the lazy river. THat could've been a Magnum ride

[BTW like stated above, Blizzard Beach is an excellent water park and so is Typhoon Lagoon. Each have that Disney touch]

Hey, Pointman...Michigan's Adventure's waterpark is awesome!! It's so clean and it has that enclosed raft ride along with 3! wavepools!!!

Those who have only a few hours or one day are not usually expected to enter Soak City. Soak City is intended more for the resort excursionists. It's quite nice just to be able to walk out of the park, into your room, and over to Soak City on a hot day, and catch a few water slides. Much more exciting than the beach.

Soak City Is due for some sort of expansion, though.

Personally, I wouldn't mind more coasters and less Soak City.

Let's keep in mind, though, that CP is more than an amusement park; it is also a resort. When operating a resort, a delicate balance must be kept to insure that everyone is satisfied, and families will return year after year to spend their resort dollars.

The best water park I've been to was Wet'n'Wild in Florida!!!!! Why??? Well because it added new rides(Althuogh old designs) and gave it there own touch. Such as the Blackhole an ordinary raft ride enclosed but it was pitch black with little neon paints on the walls so all you saw was a blur. Anyways the point i'm getting too is that the rides don't have to be high tech but unique! And sadly there isn't a lot of different idea slides and stuff at SC. I would like to see unique rides at SC!!! Although it is fine for now as a family thing!!! And resort!!!!
