Station Announcement Change?

I went to Cedar Point when MF first opened in the fall. I have been going there in the fall every year and it seems that the "MF announcement lady" has changed her sayings every year. Does anybody know why this has happened?

Maybe, because there is a different lady everytime you go there?

I certainly haven't noticed any changes. Wasn't the female voice gone for a time though?

Well if it was, I'm sure you would hear a different tone of voice.

From the best of my knowledge, the "MF lady" spiel has only been changed once. In the beginning of the 2002 season, there was no station music and spiel. The spiel and music later reappeared that season with a different lady doing the announcement. The announcement matches the Wicked Twister spiel (I call it the "pregnant women" spiel). The spiel has remained the same since (I was just there two days ago and it was the same)

that station spiel owns me! :) Im curious, does anyone remember the old spiel from 2000-2001? The lady had a more future like voice. And I LOVE the : "thank you, and enjoy your record breaking ride on Millennium Force!" then the music gets louder....ahhh great stuff. "pregnant women" spiel. great stuff MillenniumRider!

I heard also they are still able to play the old spiel, but dont. But that was an excellent spiel. ..

That spiel and music does set the mood of the station and ride...its just GREAT! :-d :-d

I belive its because the Lady said "Welcome to Millenium Force the Worlds tallest fastest coaster" so they had to change it.

It didnt say it was the tallest fastest coaster. I emailed cedar point and they said the new spiel contained necessary information not in the old spiel. Why they couldn't just use the same lady is far beyond me, but o well.

It should say, welcome Millennium Force Riders. Those of you that could snugley fit last year are probably S.O.L this year. Good luck fitting in with the seatbelt changes. *** Edited 7/19/2004 8:15:48 PM UTC by DragsterRaptor***

I do remember the speil being temporarily gone as well. After spending so much time waiting for the front seat, that background music is permanently carved in my brain. I feel like a nerd because I know the exact second when the bass loop will come back in.

Dont worry, I know the exact second too! I know all the parts where the bass is cut out, then cut in again. Its insane, but I love it so much, probably more than anyone on this site.

The original speil went:

"Welcome to Millennium Force! Sit up right, facing foward, and hold on tight. Keeping your hands arms and legs inside the car at all times. Thank you, and enjoy your record breaking ride on, Millennium Force!!"

I think that's it. There might be more though.

Does any one know if the speil for MF, WT, and TTD are the same?

Wow. Yeah. It most likely went the way of the other rides autospiels, then, because if you look at the Twister spiel (nearly 50 - 55 seconds), it says so much more than what Gomez wrote above... most likely it was one of those, "Cover your asses" things... it's sad that we live in such a sue happy world.

^^^^^^^ Please also review the pending legal litigations brought upon by the man at ?Cad cars? Oh-god ... somebody bumped you ... could that be why there's a sign at like every ride saying if you have back or neck problems you shouldn't ride?? Hmm.

Is this similar to the how the speil is now:

This is Wicked Twister's speil. I just replaced Wicked Twister with Millennium Force. And shoulder harness with lap bar.

VERY impressive Gomez, I could hear the speil in my head as i was reading it, I think you nailed it!

nailed it? not even close. Here is the real spiel to the exact word from my memory, cause I only loop it constantly!:

But seriously, in today's world, people are trying to sue for anything and everything. I'm really surprised we haven't seen more lawsuits against amusement parks for stupid things...ie. bugs hitting faces...haha

Thank you Full Force for that. As I was reading that it made me feel like I was actually waiting for my train in line for Millennium Force. By the way, if anybody needs the music from Millennium Force, I have a copy.
