time

Every time i go to cp Top Thrill Dragster is closed most of the day and when it is open the line is 3 hours long. I think it is a waste of time. I am going next Wednsday and i already know that im not going to ride it so i can do every thing else in the park.

If your going on a wednesday, the line will not be 3 hours long. I'd be suprised if it's much more than an hour long. I'm going thursday and expect similar conditions. Were the 3 hour lines that you speak of between friday and monday?

If you dont think its worth it, then dont do it.

What exactly are you trying to point out here?

Kids here in Florida go back to school on August 16th. When do they go back to school up north?

(Skipper looks forward to that day like it was a national holiday.)

Chief,
It doesn't matter what day it is, until that day is yesterday.

Goodbye MrScott

The end of August, here in Chicago.

The park moves to an 8 p.m. close during the week starting August 23. I would say that's probably for a good reason.

Are you trying to make a point in all that blabbering?

I'm going to the point (I love saying that) next week on Tuesday and Wednesday! I haven't been there in 9 whole years and now I get to go back to all of the great rides and coasters. You see, Back in 95' I wanted to go on Raptor, I wanted to go Gemini, I even wanted to go on Magnum, but I was too short, infact just shy of 48". Yes it was bad, I got to ride Jr.Gemini and couldn't fit into the car right. I went on Corkscrew to find that going threw the inversion, I got popcorn spilt all over me, and... and... and... who cares. I'M CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO CEDAR POINT!!!!!!

I'm sorry about that. I just get a little excited and carried away, because you know, I'M GOING TO CEDAR POINT!!! *** Edited 7/20/2004 2:42:50 AM UTC by timbers01***

I'll tell you what. I'm going to CP first week of August for 3 days sunday - WED and cant wait. I'm from eastern PA and go at least twice every year. Last year I got on TTD about 15 times. It was great but half of those times I only waited about 1hr. If its running good short wait time bottom line. Hopefully it will be when I go. I check if its running every day(PRAY)!!!!!!!
I went to Cedar Point today (monday July 19th) and Dragster had only an hour wait. The sign said about 1 & 1/2 hours but it wasn't even that. The ride ran very well today also. Their were a few breakdowns here and there but they each only lasted about 10 - 20 minutes. I wouldn't worry about it. Just ride it.

I'm going next week for the 4th time and when I went last week I waited for 4 hrs for Dragster (most of it along the fence). I found that if you're waiting for Dragster(along the fence, or by the grandstand) and your know it'll take a while for it to start running again, just wait it out. You will slowly start to see people leave the qur.....the quri.....THE LINE, and when Dragster opens, it'll be a shorter wait for you.
I know because when it happened to me last week, so many people left the line that when it opened I went all the way to the ramp. The only down part is heatstroke and or a long wait. *** Edited 7/20/2004 5:11:27 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***
That's what the popmachines and/or if they have them, water machines and sitting down on the concrete is for :) That's what I'd do.

Oh and it's queue if I'm not mistaken (although I can't write it I'm pretty sure that's how it is typed.)

Believe me, I didn't forget about the pop & water vending machines. The only problem is having to leave your spot in line(the fence). It's good if you plan ahead and buy one or if the people next to you arent ornery from waiting and are nice enough to keep your spot in line while you go get a pop/water.

But you would probably waste the water (if the line's been long) by the time you get in the queue, forcing you to either pay another $2.75 when you reach the queue venders or to wait you thirst out.
CP likes to torture you with that choice. :)
And yes it is a big relief to sit down but try not to fall asleep because if the immense clapping and cheering of people glad that dragster just made it over the tower dont wake you up, then I dont think anyone will bother to wake you up when they start letting people in line. Not to say that anybody wont. They probably will wake you up. But you never know. ;) *** Edited 7/20/2004 6:36:22 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***

Well, I can say that I cannot wait to go to CP this year as I haven't been. I've only been on Dragster once and can't wait to get on it again. But, if it's closed the whole day, that just means more laps on MF, Maggie, Raptor, Mantis...you get the idea.
