Tophat?

Does anybody else think that the pieces of track in this photo could be the components of a tophat element?

It looks similar to the Dragster's tophat with a piece of curvy track, followed by several pieces of arched track, and then another piece of curvy track.

Only one problem the support attachment is on the wrong side... :) the train would be going upside down through the tophat

Intamin's tophats are done with their box track. They do this for support reasons.

Not to mention there are a thousand reasons why they wouldnt do that again. ;)

Kind of like Mr. Freeze?

They are going in a "whole new direction" after all.

OK,we have several curved bits and a few twisty bits. All discussions about track types aside, sure they could be for an inverted tophat. They could also easily be for the valley of a hill, a turn, a heartline spin, a transition into/out of a banked turn...etc, on and on and on...

People are trying to connect the dots without numbers in here. Just chill and see what's coming. We only have a few months before we find out for sure.

No, no I don't think it resembles a tophat.

It's would be very tight because of the support location and amount of curve, even compared to the pics of Dragster.

Don't forget Volcano. Oh, and all the impulses.

And that one already at Cedar Point.

That inverted Intamin looks pretty cool - it would be nice to see.

Cedar Point - An adventure waiting for everyone.

i am betting on a looper still... the support pictures are confirming that for me as well... could be 100% wrong but I am hoping for a looper.

Burn....

Thanx for watchin my back man.

It is most likely to be a looper only because CedarPoint only has three loopers, and only one sit down looper. Time will only tell. ;] *** Edited 6/19/2006 2:56:43 PM UTC by Jerreus***
