Water bottles in the park?

i don't feel like paying 3.50 for water. So In my bag can I bring in a unopened water bottle. then fill it up the rest of the day? I would also like to bring in a couple snack bars in my bag. Is that fine or will they make me get rid of the water and snack bars? thank you!

You can go to any food stand and ask for a cup of ice water. Free!

To actually answer your question, yes you can bring unopened bottled water in. If they see your food they may not allow that in. That's if they even search whatever your keeping it in.

I used to bring a water bottle and fill it up at the drinking fountains.

Even though the park prohibits that, you will still more than likely be fine with bringing them in. I know on one of my visits last year they were inspecting bags, but I don't think that is the case this year.

I think I will just put the bars in my pockets. So Water Is really free?

Yes it is free, but not in a regular size. It is basically a plastic shot glass... but it is free.

This is the great thing about having a 3 year old. The babyjogger is packed with goodies but it never ever gets inspected. Ever. :)

I don't think I've ever seen anyone get their food confiscated at the gate. I've never been blatantly obvious about it, but I always bring a few snacks like pretzels and trail mix in with me, and no one has ever batted an eye.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

I used to stuff my fanny pack with snack foods and I would eat them while in line.
Pop tarts are good to bring, but little debbie snacks aren't as good because they usually get smushed and when it's really hot, the chocolate snacks melt.

M&Ms are one of the best pack-alongs, for the reasons you just described.

This year I saw some searches. It was a Friday with a lot of school groups and I counted about two trash cans worth of Gatorade bottles and chip bags thrown to the side of the ticket taker.
