What are you doing to get ready for may

i am counting the days down and making a list of what i am going on.
Moving as much stuff into my apartment every weekend as I can possibly fit into my car and getting as much sleep as I can! :)

I am walking both of my dobermans each day at least once and sometimes twice. I have a 1 mile circuit around my neiborhood that should help me to get in shape for Coastermania. 5:00 AM to 1:00AM should be a long day don't you think?
I have an entire list of things I MUST do before opening day.

*I have to purchase a new pair of adidas tennis shoes every year that I wear every year strictly at the point. The sad part is I still have my shoes from the last three years.

* I have to go out and get a new pair of Oakleys. Somehow by the time opening day rolls around I always need a new pair.

* Clothes Shopping, I always have to go clothes shopping a few weeks before the park opens to have fresh CP clothes.

* New camera, I have to buy a new point and shoot camera. I am getting something small like the Olympus Stylus Epic, fixed focal length of 28mm with a fast 2.8f lens. This past year I learned that I need a camera on me at all times.

* It is also a tradition that I get toghter with my coaster friends and watch the movie National Lampoon's Vacation. I hate Chevy Chase but it is a must to watch before the season.

Those are the main things that I have a month to do to get ready for opening day!

i have a countdown going and i already got my new oakleys.(my old ones broke while riding the beast last year at PKI) ive been watching my roller coaster movies and i have a number of other things on my list to buy for opening day.
Well one thing was to get a pair of sunglasses. Which I did already (oakley A-wire) So I am ready in that department. Listen to music that gets me pumped for coasters (Ready to go)

A goal I may have after CP opens is have most rides on Raptor in one day. Currently held by LuvRaptor with 31. I got 23. That will be involved but I can do it.

I have a program on my desktop to display the days:hours:minuets:seconds till I get to the point and I took last years map and drew out the path I am going to take to get as many rides done as possible.

Certain rides may NOT be for you...

My husband and I are starting our trips to different amusement parks. In order to make the time go faster till CP opens up. Yesterday we went to Kentucky Kingdom, Chang and Twisted Sisters, coasters are cool! On the 14th of April we are going to Six Flags in Jersy and Maryland. Then by that time CP will be opening soon and we can enjoy our summer there!! We usually do this every summer, hit the parks that open before CP does, it helps move the time faster, and also gets you a great taste of various coasters!!

The more you ride it, the more you want it!

I have been walking 1.0 miles on break from work and 2.0 miles at lunch time to get in shape for all the walking @ CP. Have been riding my horse alot longer to keep legs in shape as well. Have already scheduled vaca days with work - they know me so well and my "CP habit" that I dont even request them as vaca days-they are "CP" days. And work also well aware that it is a MUST I call in from the payphone by Raptor (the ones by the on ride photo area) to let them know where I am at and usually for me to request the next day off too!
Hooper-my "personal" record of 31 Raptor flights in one day is NOT a record-there is someone who has flown Raptor over 70x in one day-my "record" is NOTHING compared to his! This record holder has flown Raptor over 2K times since it has been built (it may be 3K) so he is THE record holder.
I have flown with him many many times and plan on hooking up with him again this year.

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
I've been going to Ragtime Ricks and eating CP fries!!!!!!!!!!

Funny you should mention CP Days - LuvRaptor!

I have the same thing marked on my vacation request form!! I already have 3 trips planned to CP. Media Day through opening day, CoasterMania, and a Halloweekend. Most likely, I'll fit in another 2 or 3 "day trips" here and there.

By popular vote, the official start of the
millennium has been moved to
May 13, 2000

i am trying to survive school and a grueling work schedule until May rolls around. then when i get back from CP, there will be no school, but TONS of work just to catch up on all the tips i'm missing for 6 days!! like, 3 or 400 dollars!! but it will be worth it in the end.

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!
that guy you are talking about sounds like thriller man. he rides serial thriller at geauga lake (sfo) all the time. i talked to him last opening day and he was approaching 3k. how can these guys get off work and ride all the time? thriller man doesnt have a life because he had a booger on his moustache and bad breath, and he seemed to enjoy bragging to all these kids in line. you might say i am mean, but when you stand in line behind thriller man when serial thriller brakes down, you know he doesnt have a life. my advice if you see him at sfo- DON'T talk to him!!!!!! but it isnt thriller man at cp because he bad mouths raptor so bad.

Since I teach music, I'm busy whipping my students into shape for two concerts in mid May. Also, filling out report cards, working on my district's music curriculum, and taking classes toward my masters degree. Unfortunately, I probably won't make it to Cedar Point until late summer. Until then, I will have to live vicariously through people's trip reports.

Oh well, at least I am going to Disney and Universal Florida at the end of June. I know that these parks shouldn't take front seat to Millennium Force, but I haven't been to Orlando in about 15 years and I was invited to go at that time. I can't wait.
