I know they are going to start testing Wicked Twister in the middle of this month when the power is all connected. My guess about the other rides is they will begin those maybe next month or even sooner.

Depends on what they've got to do, I suppose. Dan and I saw Corkscrew test in, I think it was November 2000, more than a month after they closed!

Usually they test/cycle the rides for a certain amount of hours apx. 100hrs for coasters. Some times they usually start them up in April and have the past employee's that have operated the rides before to cycle them for about 8hrs a day. It does take quite some time to put the trains/rides together again and on the tracks.

Do you think they operate them on or around April 15th,If they are operating them, will all be going? or just certain rides and such...........

Tested in November Jeff? That would have been something to see. Did they already tear the trains down and put them back on the track? Was there any snow on the ground? Now that would have been a sight to see.

It was a freakish day, very warm. The photo of me in the about section was taken that day. The series of Millennium Force construction photos in the gallery that are late-day, somewhat sunny, are also from that day.

I have no idea why they were running Corkscrew that day, but Dan and I were pissed that we didn't get in on the action.

I know this topic goes back to 2002 so I apologize for bringing this topic back from the dead. Anyway let's pretend that this topic is 2011. Alright I was just curious if anybody has noticed anything being tested? I have been looking at the webcams and have not seen the trains for Top Thrill Dragster put on the tracks yet? What gives? I know crews are busy with Windseeker, but shouldn't rides have their trains on the track?

They have probaly been testing rides like Mean Streak, Gemini, and Maverick. The stuff you can't see on the webcam. I know Mantis has all of it's trains at least by the ride, and it looks like Magnum has one in the parking lot still.

They should be ready soon though.

I know its not a roller coaster but I did see Power Tower testing on the webcam earlier today. Also if you look very closely you can see the white train sitting on the the transfer track of Corkscrew.

It's hard to tell but it looks like Dragster has two trains on the track now.

I can tell you they have been cycling a lot of rides already.

Dragster has all of its trains now.

Yeah most rides are getting there I would imagine. Gemini has all of it's trains, as we found out on the off season tour. Plus I have visual conf. here. Also we found the white train here a few days ago, it may have been put on the transfer table. It would make sense considering it was moved away from where it was placed prior to NDT for the off season. I would say rides are probably nearing ready for the season, considering all of the shops they build in the pavilions & whatnot need to be torn down to get those ready for the season. Plus people are processing in big time now, and most will be within the week, and we all need to start training for the rides and be ready for opening day

Did they just put Dragster's trains on today? Because I know they weren't on the track yesterday when I looked at the webcams

When I looked at 8:45 this morning, they were putting the 4th train on the transfers. So, they probably did some late yesterday and some this morning.

Seeing those trains on there makes me really happy! Now they can test! Looks like my baby will be ready when the park opens at 10. :D

Looks like Dragster still needs two trains, since there are only four on the transfer. I think the ride only had five trains (which is normal) but didn't have the extra on the transfer like the season before, so it might only need one more.

Last year, for the longest time, they only had 5 trains out of storage. I forgot what color it was, but that train was missing up until the last 2 months.
