WWL Station

Does anyone think that if they dont use the station on the ride it would make for a good on ride photo pick up spot? Like the buildings after magnum and raptor you go to see your pictures?

Not really since the floor is missing.

Building a floor is pretty much a snap, especially compared to building an entire roller coaster, though ;)

Yeah, but I don't want to have to keep walking to stay in the same place while I view my picture. That's just too much effort. And what about the guys behind the counter? They'll get more exercise than the sweeps.

Oh, c'mon, Jugga. Of course they're gonna make the monitors rotate as well.

Duh!

I think its a good idea, but I think that the exit is gonna be more toward Mean Streak..

Think about it, you want more people in the back of the park, and people arent exactlly being drawn too MS. Its developed into one of those walk-on rides.

But I guess we will know sometime in August?

Jugga, don't be so closed minded. Geez. You can always get those shoes with the rollerskates in them and hold on to the railing so you don't have to walk. :D

Seriously, though - all they would have to do is fill it with concrete and its set.

Just one more way to use the Putzmeister (tm).

I actually have an odd idea about what it might be used for. What if they do a kind of flyby thing like Dollywoods Thunderhead? Except, instead of a station flyby, it would be a queue flyby. The building could even be enhanced to make it look like it was hit by a "strong storm" (feeding off the clues). The coaster would enter and exit the building from either the right or left side, into the Antique Cars site, do some elements on the site then comeback around and head in the building again from the opposite side. The queue would be above the track and would cross over both tracks towards the station.

This is all, however, assuming that the Antique Cars are removed.

The last thing I want to do is be hit by some morons cellphone while waiting in line for said attraction.

Going along with what TTD_120mph said.

I belive one of the signs read, "There's a storm a brewin"

This new ride may be themed as a storm that came in and that's what knocked out WWL. Similar to what they did with Powder Keg. Since the ride was scrapped, they could even have a few pieces from the ride laying around in different places.

That actually sounds like a really cool idea!

I understand where you are coming from with the clue and that could be pretty cool. However, the only thing i'm really sure about if the use of the station becuase they didnt completely remove it. It'd also make a cool load station for the ride.

Dang. I've been pitching the "WWL station for on-ride photo building" idea for months now.

Completely understandable. But there are things that can be done to prevent that from happening. Think of something along the lines of the fence that goes along the ramp in Millenniums queue to the station.

Thats not a bad idea. Initially I wondered if they would rebuild the log ride (whether it remain WWL's design or a redesign) cause log rides are pretty much park staples. If they do not rebuild a log ride then I would put my money on either the photo station idea or maybe for part of the queue. I could be wrong but by looking at the footers it seems like the station might be right around the WWL station.

Here's some crappy sketches I whipped up of what it could look like:

outside
inside

The clearence in the "inside" pic doesnt look like much but it would obviously be safe enough for riders.

Dang TTD120, didn't know you had it in ya, LOL.

Crappy? That's better than anything I could have drawn... :)
