Cedar Point Top 10 Stories of the Decade
For decades, Cedar Point fans waited anxiously for press releases and the occasional newspaper article to find out what was going on at their favorite amusement park. With the advent of the Internet, however, everything changed. Newsgroups were followed by Cedar Point fan sites such as Guide to the Point and Virtual Midway. The park itself jumped online in 1997 when cedarpoint.com launched.
Cedar Point, however, continued to keep the Internet at arm's length. That changed on June 24, 2005, when OnPoint!, Cedar Point’s official blog, made its debut. Written by Tony Clark and Tyler Adams, the blog has changed how the park communicates with its fans. Today, Cedar Point connects with enthusiasts on PointBuzz, Twitter and Facebook.
