On the Construction photo on cedarpoint.com what is the deal with the transfer track? Does that have to do with the elevator lift system???

No,this is where trains are stored during the night,etc.
A transfer track is used for the addition/removal of trains from the track and if they need maitnance (sorry cant spell)
