I actually like the height of the station. I'm not sure why, it just looks nice.

Oh man, that's an awesome control booth

Agreed! I'm looking forward to it!

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

The control booth is very cool, and although Gatekeeper may have one like that, it won't be quite the same because Gatekeeper doesn't go up the lift hill right out of the station.

I was going to start a new topic, but I guess I'll just post it here. It looks like the station will look exactly like it does in the animation, a corrugated steel barn. After the past few roller coasters that had pretty cool custom stations, especially TTD, I have to say that this one is very disappointing. Looks like a standard cookie cutter station. I'm surprised especially since the station and transfer track areas are midway side and exposed. Unless they do some cool landscaping, this might be the only thing that is a swing and a miss for this otherwise very awesome coaster.

I think the station is going to look really nice. I don't see how it looks like a barn.

I think they want it to look like a more open air station. It seems beach-y, since it is next to the beach. Who knows, no telling what will happen until we get the final product.

So one line for the right side of the coaster will go under the station and onto the platform and the other will be on the MaXair side on up to the platform?

Curious by looking at the webcam where the Fast Lane will be coming into the station.

It looks like a steel mill building with the roof the way it is :)

Keep in mind that it could look like
nothing special at first but turn out to be a pleasant surprise.

Agreed TTD 120mph...Everybody is getting worked up on every little detail about an unfinished product. I'm sure CP will keep up with the trend of having something stylish and unique. IMO I think once the product is finished it will wow everybody. Keep in mind GK is the showpiece of the park now so nothing will be sub-par.

Definitely doesn't look very stylish and unique in the rendering. I was just pointing out the fact that the station that is taking shape now is looking like the one in the rendering minus the roof. I hope you're right TTD 120mph and they do something cool with the station.

It could turn out to be really cool though. The tunnel that appears on the webcam so far looks cool

I get what your saying xtreme but I personally never put much vested interest into renderings because they are designed to give us a general idea of the rides layout and features. Although I will say the layout of this coaster is mimicking the rendering almost to a tee but that's why manufactures and the park put them out to get us enthusiasts and the GP excited and talking about the product knowing there is always final pieces we don't get to see. Looking at WE and X-flight renderings the stations didn't appear to look so hot and once the finish product was finalized they were quite impressive especially WE. I just simply encourage everyone to see the final product then we can become judge and jury lol that's all my friend.

Now, now. Not everybody is getting worked up. A few non enthused comments on the station can be expected when expectations are so high. I love beautiful stations and theming as much as anyone, but whats most important about this station for me is how it handles crowd flow. I was hoping the station would utilize a separate load and unload to avoid the waltz dance between disembarking and embarking riders, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Now all I'm left hoping for is no loose article bin/storage on the platform.

I think you will be amazed how bad 20 foot towers of concrete look when the forms are removed. I am placing my bet on the renderings that the concrete and towers will be clad in aluminum. It will shine in the sun and definatly look awesome. I do not think that Cedar Point nor B&M want an unfinished look to the front door and/or the coaster.

Sorry for the mess. Signature under construction.

My money is on a half and half look (like in the more recent front gate render). Bottom half some kind of rock work, top half whatever else they go with. :P

Keep dreaming.

Brandon

Looks like the cams are all down now except for the dragster cam.

Re; Keep dreaming about no bin storage....

Got that right....
