Ads

When is Cedar Point going to start with the TV commercials? I know we have all seen the Six Flags is God commercials, where are Cedar Point's? I had repeatedly heard of the extensive advertising that was going to take place this year but I have yet to see any besides the back of my Diet Pepsi can. $13 off!!!
Someone reported on Thrill Ride a few weeks ago that a Millennium Force "preview" was at the movies.

Millennium Force will be the next to sink!
I heard that they will be coming out the last week in april.:)
That late? Don't they advertise before that?
I've already heard a commercial for the point this year
I have yet to hear or see a commercial for CP (since I dont watch much TV). But, we are some of the best advertisers. Everone in the school who didnt know about MF does now, lol.

I heard several commercials on the radio, saw the ads on the back of pepi cans, and I swear i saw an ad in the paper (no it wasn't the come work for us ads either).
My uncle make the Ads for CP. They can't make them to the trains are on the track for the coasters so it looks like the park is open.
It was my understanding that the trains ARE on the tracks.
I mean the trains moving. Just a couple of weeks ago Cp let the train coast.

Your uncle makes the TV spots? I don't think so. They're produced by an agency who will use whatever production company they feel like making, and the company will likely use freelancers from the area.

It's still early for the TV campaign to start.

Jeff chill out!!!!!! His uncle could like the director, or some thing like that. But dont jump out at every thing that you dont like, thats really rude.
Well I think Cedar Point is really making a mistake by waiting so long to advertise. People will make plans to go to Six Flags because they heard it first and will then not go to Cedar Point. I CP needs to get on the ball. I even saw a Six Flags billboard today in Akron.
Six Flags have billbords all over Ohio. I went up to Acron and saw probably 7 of them. I saw one all the way down in East Liverpool.

Remember, line jumping is NOT a sporting event!

I don't intend to chill out in the face of made up crap... I worked enough film/video freelance gigs to know how things go.

Fart in an elevator... enough said. ;)

With regards to SFO's campaign, I think you have to look at the market forces at work. Cedar Point has a significantly larger area to draw people from and their new attraction speaks for itself. I've heard that the Cleveland market has an insane 60% recognition rate for Millennium Force, which would make any ad exec excited. The SFO campaign is everywhere, but not different from what they do any other year. They're not buying potentially national exposure in MLB games like Cedar Point.

So if you're worried, I think it should be understood that you've got players from different leagues.

And just wait for the sticker shock when SFO cranks up their admission mid-season to $36...

Watch Cleveland Indians baseball- there are ads at the "Jake-" behind the plate and on the scoreboard. Kind of like spring training- the season hasn't even begun yet.
