Kind of an odd dump site for the track... seems like you would want them in a more safe location. What's stopping anyone from jumping the fence? Nice observation though... haven't been here long enough to remember maverick track there or knowing CP used the property for ride storage.

Dunno.. surely not "Danger - Do Not Enter" signs.

Too soon! Too soon!

It would be if that was a joke. It's not.

Could that be the site of a new dorm, or apartments, to replace Cedars?

Of course it could. I do not, however, see why they would put it so far down from the other dorms unless there was no other option.

Jumping the fence and doing what? Its not like someone is going to throw a section of track in the back of a pickup and drive off with it.

^I don't know about that, scrapers are some pretty crafty folks, it takes some ingenuity to fit 10 refrigerators in the back of an S-10 but they can do it...

The difference between a piece of track is about 4,000 pounds. And you can pick the 10 refrigerators up individually.

Well golly, thanks Mr. Obvious!

Realistically, there just wouldn't be enough time to load a humongous piece of dive coaster track and cart off with it before security/police got to them. Though, it'd be funny being the owner of a scrap yard when a guy pulls in with a huge piece of steel track wanting to scrap it. "Uuuummm.....pretty sure you stole this sir......" lol

Wonder how much it would cost to have a single piece of B&M track manufactured for, say, your mantle at home.

They could be putting the tracks in a fenced-off region to prevent vandalism. That's my first guess.

There's a lot you can do with a tiny little fenced in area.

Promoter of fog.

Putting track in a fenced in area could go well w the theme of the coaster. Keeping it tame until its released. As the ole saying goes, Time tells all answers.

Any of sort of promotion dealing with coasters and fenced-in areas would seem ill-timed, to say the least.

Yes, at this moment it would..but...not everyone would make the mistake that man did. But, i see your point. What happen may change many thgs abt whatever is coming.

First off, I am VERY sympathetic to the situation for all involved. It's sad for many. However, I don't think the park should "have" to gauge whether something is "too soon" or "ill advised". The loss of life wasn't their fault.

If the death was CP's fault, however, then I could see the argument for a delay, name change, etc.

I'm too sexy for my harness!

Very true...It wasnt a safety failure, nor a operators fault of what happen. Hopefully, thgs will proceed soon. Let the excitement return.

You'd be terrible at running their business. :-)

Regardless of fault, it would be ridiculously stupid for CP to run a marketing campaign that could in any way be viewed as insensitive. They're not in the business of being "right", they're in the business of making money.
