Announcement

I am going this weekend of August 25, and 26th. So hopefully I hear something good. The annoucement would be nice, but I won't hold my breath. I've been patient all through this construction, and once it's annouced I'll be jumping for Joy.

Mark my words, the announcement will be before May 5th 2007.

All signs point toward the week following Labor Day.

Except for the sign that they said it would be announced in August.

How long ago was that?

Actually right now. Check it out. They finished the drop. Maybe now there will be an update soon. I still don't think this will be an aquatrax coaster because I've been studying Atlantis Adventure alot and basically it stays really close to the ground the entire time and P2007 looks to have some good hills

I am in contact with Duane off and on, and it indeed was a posting error. Cedar Point didn't silence him, and he has no "inside information" or "special priveleges." It was simply a posting error, and no more. So, Sept. 7 isn't the announcement date unless by some miracle Duane had the announcement date for another ride and CP happens to announce it that day as well.

Not that I don´t believe you (I do believe you), but I can´t see how you can post: "Official announcement for this ride will be september 7th" (or something like that, if I remember correctly) by mistake. I don´t see that quote on any other rides for 2007. Sure, it was probably an "error" for him to write it, when it´s not official yet, but I don´t think he accidently dropped something on his keyboard, and those words just happened to pop up :) We´ll find out soon enough, I´m sure.

Bring back Boblo!

^ Then why didn´t you close it?

Oh, you´re not an admin.

My bad.

ah nothing like a couple good belly laughs.

I can see it now, CNN retracting stories as "posting errors"

Paradroid has a good point! If the announcement of the 7th was a mistake, why was it typed. I'm not going to look through the entire site to see if he attached the date to the wrong file. But was it typed for a different reason? A different ride at another park? I think the date got posted before it was meant to be made public.

To me it seems like a concert schedule. They are put together a year in advance. Radio stations tease all the time " they are coming to town, keep listening for details soon". They have the date, but big tours don't like to share on sale dates and sometimes like big announcements. They just don't send a fax or an email saying can you mention this on the air. Plus all the promotion has to be set, etc...

Well I had a few minutes, so I went through all of the "Unknown" rides scheduled to open in 2006, 2007, and 2008. I didn't see an announcement date for any of them that matches what was shown for P2007.

See, even Cedar Point says it won't be Sept 7th! Go see for yourself.

^ No, they are not saying that it WONT be Sept 7th. They just are not saying that it WILL be 9/7.

Well lets just put it this way, Bryan Edwards the CP marketing manager on the coaster world news interview said "they would let everyone in on the big secret later this summer" So i am sure you can consider him a pretty reliable source. So with that, we dont have too much longer to wait until the announcment!!! So whether its gonna be in august, september 7th or whenever the last day of summer is, its not too long from now. Getting excited yet people!?:)

Not sure if thats the date but if it is thats my B-Day Woo Hoo
