Any Word or Thought on anything else for 06?

Okay we have been talking about a new ride for 06 for 64 pages now. So I would like to see what we can expect to see other then a ride. New Shows, Rehabs, Rides repainted? By the way this won't go for 64 pages.

500 foot bathroom.

Ya just had to throw that in there (although it's looking more likely now, with the water markings/etc).

I would like to see something done with Mantis. I hate the head-banging. Hopefully, they will do more padding on the restraints, like on Iorn Wolf. A Mean Streak Rehab wouldn't be bad. MF could use a paint job sometime soon. Raptor's que area could use a re-painting, or a major power wash and cleaning sometime soon.

I see Maggie getting finished with her paint job.......unless they have already finished her.......have they?

  • Finish Magnum repaint
  • Add padding on Mantis
  • Retrack Mean Streak
  • Powerwash and repaint some queues
  • Replace some trains(Magnum, Corkscrew, ETC.)
  • Start to repaint Millennium Force and TTD

Well, that basically covers it all.

Millennium Force:71 TTD:35 maXair:30 Maverick: 19

Okay heres my list

  • Add Pading to Mantis
  • Retrack MS
  • Powerwash the queues
  • Replace trains for Corkscrew, don't really have a problem with the trains on Magnum
  • Start to repaint TTD and MF
  • I would really like to see some work on The laser and high dive show

I would like to see Magnum's trains replaced eventually, but I don't think it is urgent. Some work on the High Dive Show would be good.

With Mantis its more like adjusting the guide wheels, but it could still use some more padding. I really hope they paint MF next season, or at least start it, because it is in desperate need. They also need to clean of the gum on the track that is right beside the queue.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I would really dig some new watering holes or restaurants. I think the only place with great food is Famous Daves while the on point TGI's is very limited it seems and the Italian joint inside Breakers was very overpriced for what seemed like a watered down Olive Garden. Also, finishing and new paint jobs would be nice. I do not care if they re-paint Iron dragon back to her old colors or keep the new ones, but please please make the station match.

Oh, and Maggies station really needs some organization. Maybe they could call California Closets or something. :-P

I'll add an idea to the wish list:

Take out Mr. Potato and the Gazebo and renovate that area with a new Lake Erie perch stand that includes the famous homemade french fries.

Ooh. The perch idea is good. I just had my peanut butter bagel, and now I'm hungry all over again!

I'd like to see an improved sit-down restaurant in the back half of the park. I often find myself back there wanting a real meal; chuck wagon and last chance just don't do it for me, and I end up wishing I was much closer to Midway/Game Day/Rockets/Daves.

I know this is probably a far-fetched idea, but I've always felt that an eating area with a great view of the park would be awesome. CP is pretty flat, and if an eating area or restaurant were elevated enough (like on top of another building, or space spiral-style on a tower), it would provide a stellar view of the park, and would probably be novel enough to attract a decent amount of business, regardless of what they served. Again, I realize this isn't practical or probable, but imagine sitting at a table, eating lunch near a window in a slowly-revolving restaurant that offers you and ever-changing view of the entire peninsula. Now thats entertaining.

I would also like to see something done with the entrance. With the removal of DD, maybe they already have some plans for that. When you walk in, to your right is DD and the somewhat old-ish looking restroom building, which are still nice inside. To your left it isn't very attractive either. I think just even adding a reflecting pool or something would be really nice.

I think they should buy some more fake Christmas Trees and every night next season turn the entire park into a giant (insert theme song from Psycho here)

WEREWOLF CANYON!!!!!

That tower restaurant is a cool idea. They should combine that with a new, taller and air conditioned space spiral too. The park is fun to watch - just like the banner on their website. :-) Like you said, its ever-changing.

I know this isn't a wish-list idea for 06, but I still think it would be awesome if they eliminated the parking lot and installed a monorail to a mainland parking lot. That's the coolest part of the magic kingdom to me. It enhances the "arrival" to the park. Plus, that's a LOT of land they can expand into. :-)

Very true. CP could build a parking structure somewhere that is about 1/4 the size of the current lot, and make it six-levels, effectively increasing its size.

And I can imagine (though I've never been) that it would indeed enhance the arrival. It would make it seem more removed from the "real world". And if the monorail were done well, it could actually make getting into the park easier and safer, at least for families with small children.

Hmmm Repaint Dragster, I took a walk on our platform last saturday and all the Black Doors have been redone and the yellow pillars have been repainted. Dragster is going to look so good when we reopen. Lets hope people dont carve stuff into them.

I've always thought they should electrify the track or whatever to prevent graffiti-ing. Any seen Naked Gun 2.5 with the anti-graffiti wall? Something along those lines. Or, just have cameras that watch for it, then find out what he no-good-ers drive and carve something into their car hood.
