Anyone watch the waterpark show on Travel Channel

The former Hurricane Harbor was one of the featured water parks. Those slides look pretty scary. The program did featur several cool rides that would be interesting to see at Soak City or here such as the halfpipe slide, the toilet bowl slide, and the funnel type slide. As well as a Master Blaster. I am not as big of waterpark fan as I am of regular amusement parks but this program did make me want to get my swimming gear and head to one of these places.

P.S. How emberrising for Six Flags to feature something at a park that has been bought out but at least it showed some Cedar Fair waterpark fans what to look forward to when they visit Geauga Lake this summer.

I stand corrected....I guess it's time to eat some humble pie now......yummy.
Why do I suddenly want to visit now, even though I had no intention of going to the waterpark last year?

No, the Travel Channel is just part of the answer. The other is the new ownership. Unlike last year, I plan to actually visit for more than just a couple of hours in the evening.

It will be interesting to see what the waterpark will be called though.

I have been on the slides. It is more scary looking down from the top than the ride is. But it is fun 5/5
The Hurricane Mtn body slides are a thrill as are the orange and pink tube slides! Hopefully the season pass will allow members to enter the waterpark a half hour early as it was when SF owned the park. This was really a nice perk in getting your tubes ahead of the crowds.

I didn't know you could get in 30 minutes early with the SF pass. I know it would be cold though
Yeah it is very cold in HH in the morning. I love that waterpark though. They have a nice collection for not just being a waterpark. The HM slides are incredible. They make you want to black out you are going so fast and the turns are so sharp. I once saw them turn those off and 'scuba climb' to find a kid they lost. Needless to say, they found him standing next to the tubes. Good lifeguards, good attractions. I'll be returning next year no doubt.
SFWoA has some of the best lifegaurds around. Ever since the inncident in 01 things have gone well. We have receive "platnium" safety ratings the last two seasons(02/03) the highest you can get.

What accident
A girl got her hair stuck in a drain and drowned? Something to that sort, someone knows the whole story.

Yeah, I really like these themed style slides they have now ...They only showed it for a minute, but that storm themed slide with the stobe lightning was awesome. And yeah, I did like the segment on sfwoa --The mountain slides look intense!

"Hire me Kinsel, I'll solve all your new problems"
She got her head stuck in a vent of some sort and was under water for awhile, she didnt drown but I guess she sustained brain damage. The vent cover was broken so I guess I wouldnt even blame the lifegaurds but maintence for not catching it.

What time does the water show start?

Has anyone ever been on the stingray slides at SF:WOA's water park. They are the really big blue ones. Well I think that they hurt your back. Whenever I ride them my back turns all red. One time there was a kid who was riding the stringray slides and his swim suit ripped.
