Backwards Gemini

Backwards portion of Invertigo at KI = job security for chiropractors and neck surgeons.

^Quick anecdote here, but I rode Invertigo for the first time last weekend (never wanted to wait for it on previous visits :P), and I didn't think it was too bad; in fact, I didn't really have any sort of headbang since I kept my head back on the headrest and anticipated the inversions. IMO, Flight of Fear takes the cake for craziness/intensity at KI since it throws you around like clothes in a front-load washing machine; I love both the theming and the coaster itself, but man, riding it with the original OTSRs must have been absolute torture!

Returning to the topic at hand, I would like to bring up a point made in the previous thread about this topic: Gemini's backwards track would need a serious reprofiling in the final helix to be safe and not painful for the riders. In addition, I would think that headrests would definitely be needed on the backwards track to protect riders' heads and necks when the ride stacks up and makes that hard stop on the final brakes before the station. It's not nearly as brutal a stop as Magnum's stacking stop on the third brake just after the tunnel, but Gemini stacks up far more frequently in my experience, thus justifying their installation if they decided to make a backwards track.
