Beating it's own record for most coasters?

Oh please...can CP's PR team be anymore wrong??? Beating it's own record for most coasters? No No No...that only means they're now tied with the WONDEFUL SFMM for most coasters!  And lets not get into Superman not a coaster...cause first off...it is...and second off...if Superman isn't then your new Twister thing isn't either!  CP's PR team really needs to firgure out what the heck they're doing...giving out false info is a big no no in the PR world!

Demon drop is just as much a coaster as Superman the escape.
Well...since you made that strange comparison...I'll have to say that Free Fall must be a coaster than too! :)

          -Magic Alumni

Well what did you expect them to say?
"Hello there folks, here from "America's Roller Coast" where we are happy to announce Wicked Twister! Our new rollercoaster from Intamin, the creators of Superman:The Escape, which we don't consider a rollercoaster because it's not full circuit. However we will gladly call our new ride a coaster because guess what!? It has twsts! Yeah that's right folks, it does basically the same thing as our "favorite" coaster company's other piece of crap, but ours twists and launches five times! And according to section 15 in the "how to qualify a coaster" manual, we've managed just squeeze by the true definition."
"See Cedar Point fans we've now given you our 15th "coaster", along with all the info you need to battle those evil SFMM fans who want to take away our precious record, because we know it means SOOOOO much to you, even though we're using it simply to make money(but you didn't hear that from us k?)"
Happy Coasting! cough cough stayawayfromtheevilsfwoa cough cough!

X is not runnin so it can't be counted yet.. and who knows when it will be.

Arrow's display at IAAPA, from what I've been told, was pretty lame. It's gonna be a race to see if they can get X to work or if they have to file for bankruptcy like Vekoma.

Well technically the 15th coaster would break CP's personal park record of 14 coasters.

Also,  there is only one major reason that they say it is breaking any record an that is for marketing and promotions.  Not everything they say is the exact truth but the General Public does not know that.

-----------------
"Where da party at?! Girls is on da way, where da BACARDI at?!!"

I don't think they are lying. Right now both parks have 14 coasters. When X and Twister open, both parks will have 15. Both parks can therefore stake claim to having the most coasters. It's not as exciting to say they are tied from a PR perspective. SFMM was taking claim for the "tilte" when the coasters weren't even built yet.
That's like when I was in high school, our basketball team tied for the league championship.  We all got t-shirts, and they didn't say "BAC Co-Champs," they said "BAC Champs."  If you tie, you still have the most, just someone else has just as many.  :)

Mr. Skyward is my hero.

The majority of the GP from the targeted marketing area aren't going to have any clue that a park on the other side of the country has just as many coasters as Cedar Point.  And even if they did, do you actually think they would say, "well hell with CP, will spend $3,000 to take our family to SFMM."

Cedar Point's Roller Coasters: http://www.rcdb.com/locationdetail1.htm

According to rcdb.com; (which does classify S:TE as a coaster) states that the park only had 15 coasters. It could also be said, like Rob said, that since X isn't open it doesn't count. Cedar Point has the most coasters, Six Flags Magic Mountain has the most coasters.

I live in Las Vegas and lots of people out here know about Cedar Point. I dont see why it would be different up in the Ohio area knowing about Magic Mountain.

Actually, it won't be a race. X already has an opening date. One that I won't be repeating  here, but let's just say this talk of it not being open won't last much longer. ;)

Oh we know badboy, CP just likes to act like MM is too far away to worry about. They think the Gp is too stupid to realize that CP has been ripping them off for years...It's the old ...you build it first and we will laugh at you for building it. Wait a couple of years and build the same thing a little taller or faster and claim it's a brand new, record breaking coaster. This has been CP's M O. for years. It's getting lame. This worked well for CP in the past, but it's not going to fly now. Not in the internet age. People are well informed these days. Anything is just a click away.

If you ever want to know what CP is getting next year just seek out the new coaster at a Six Flags.  Sad...

Is Flashback even running out there?
Why is it sad?  Its industrial espionage, see what someone else does, and then do it even better then they can I do not see how this comparison even works, and tell me that CP copied SF for Maggie or Millie?

Welcome back Magnum riders how was your ride?

Are you able to name one coaster Cedar Point has at their park that SFMM had before them? Can't Goliath be said to be ripped off from Magnum? Well according to your story I guess MF was taken from Goliath. And Gemini Jr? Goliath Jr. Oh wait, Gemini Jr. is about 20 years old.
Every park builds something bigger and faster then the other guy. Your beloved SFMM built a bigger hypercoaster then Magnum! If your going to comment please have something to back it up.
By the way, I just asked my Uncle if he's ever heard of SFMM, his response, "Don't you mean Disneyland?"

Oh, look who had a stand-up first...that's right CP. When did each park build inverteds?...1994. The same year. Yeah Cedar Point always copies what SFMM gets...NOT!

Yes they are beating their own record for the world record. I don't see how the original free-fall can not be counted as a coaster, but the reverse free-fall can...I mean it even completes a full circuit! It just doesn't make sense. I know that each park has a free-fall, but it's the principle I'm getting at.

I guess Demon Drop is a coaster now too, since S:TE is. SFMM is full of so much crap. CP is America's Rollercoast and always will be. SFMM will never, ever, ever be better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Magnum Force..I  understand industrial espionage...that's fine. To a point. What is sad is that CP must view sorry SFWoA as a real threat to almost clone one of there coasters. I'm sure SFWoA is loving this.

As far as Magnum...I'm not going there...LOL .Millie is a big SROS at SFDL.. Ever since Magnum CP has been buying a bigger faster version of Six Flags "hotest"coaster. I can live with that. It's brought us some great coasters. What I hate is copying a coaster from some lame park right down the road. Not to mention that SFGA has one and SFKK is rumored to get one. So there going to be 4 of these in the area. Talk about overkill.
