Calendar

When does CP usually announce the calendar for the next year? I ordered platinum passes for my husband and I for the first time, and I am just so excited to start planning a trip ASAP.

It seems to me it varies from year to year, but usually by February they have it posted.

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

That's about right, i start getting excited about then.

I believe the 09 calendar was up right after 08's closing day. But it does seem to vary year to year. I'd imagine opening a new attraction (especially a water ride) dictates opening day to some extent, but I'm really not sure.

Valleyfair doesn't have it calendar or ticket pricing yet. Dick must be busy micromanaging something else.

I hope this means there will be a countdown clock added. Both there and on here :)

Hi, I am planning our first Cedar Point trip in June and was on the website trying to check availability for the Cedar Point hotels, but when i put in a date it says it is not available. But on the left side it says there is availablity in June. Is there a certain time they start taking reservations? Also anyone that has stayed at these hotels please give any input about them.

Thanks!

That is because the resorts with the exception of CB are closed and do not have the prices set for next year yet. they will come around.

... 130 days!

If you want to make a hotel reservation before the prices are posted, I believe you have to do it by phone. They'll let you reserve a date, but you won't know the pricing until they post them.

2010 operating hours are now posted on our website!

Hours look very similar to last year's--which is a good thing. I think that Halloweekend Sunday's hours are shifted forward 1 hour compared to last year. I see that the park is closed on the Friday and Saturday following Labor Day. Another private outing perhaps? Didn't that weekend become Passholder Weekend last year after that private booking cancelled? I really wanted to go to that last year, bur had already made other plans for that weekend. I was hoping to catch it this year, but it looks like the park is only open on Sunday. Hey, maybe we'll have a repeat of last year.

Hello everyone, I'm new here.

I'm planning a trip in late August and my question is, when do Ohio schools typically start? I'd like to go at a time when the crowds are smallest, will there be much of a difference once school starts in the area? Thanks.

Hours look okay but i wish i could see more pink instead of all that yellow in July & August. It use to be that way back in 2004 and 2005.

I always like going early in halloweekends. Sundays are always the least crowded for the exceptions of memorial and labor days.

Sorry for being off a week....

I think with the 9p.m. closing on the sundays for Halloweekends this year. I think maybe they will open the outside haunted attractions on sundays like they did on closing day last year.

The reason they could do it on Closing Day was because the time changed that day, giving us one extra hour of darkness. It's hard to say whether or not they could/would be able to justify doing that every Sunday of Halloweekends.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
