Cedar Creek Mine Ride

No one really seems to talk about this coaster that much, so I decided to start a topic about it. Post your thoughts.

There's not much to talk about.

Well, I think it's a pretty fun ride. I love all the coasters at CP! If there is no long line for this one I'll ride it. Also, I'm sure this ride will get lots more people, because of Maverick.

And Skyhawk didnt already do that? Like John said, there's not really much to talk about. It's a good coaster for families and young starters....but it's not much of a "discussion coaster".

Skyhawk really didn't do to much. Skyhawk is a thrill ride. Maverick is a coaster. Skyhawk barely did anything.

You wouldn't believe the traffic flowing in and out of Frontiertown because of Skyhawk. Skyhawk did more than you think.

^Got that right.

Let's Get Weird.

On my first trip, the 2 coasters I didn't ride were Blue Streak and the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. They must've been stacking trains on the Mine Ride because the trains were almost always blocking at the top of the first lift. I'll probably get on them 2 this year

1) Maverick 2) Millennium Force 3) Top Thrill Dragster

I agree that Skyhawk did a good job, but Maverick will do better for Frontier Town.

True. Frontiertown did need an update with no new rides in the area for a while. Skyhawk and Maverick are the first updates Frontiertown is going to get. CCMR is a good beginner coaster. It does need to have some re-boarding done to some parts of the ride. *** Edited 2/14/2007 6:43:29 PM UTC by ltparkmaster***

Can someone please compare CCMR to Adventure Express at Kings Island? Thanks.

CCMR is really not all that fun. I enjoyed Gold Rusher at Magic Mountain a lot more. I wouldn't be sad if they took this out sometime in the future.

Just because you may not think it's fun doesnt mean that other people dont Ben. :)
In the mind of a kid whos tall enough to ride, it could be very thrilling and fun.

The great thing about Cedar Point is that there is such a variety of things to do, especially the variety of coasters at different levels of intensities. This range is a big draw for many families and groups. There is something there that everyone can enjoy. If they were to rip out all of these small and as many call it "boring" coasters and build huge, intense monster coasters the park would lose some of the biggest spenders - the families that enjoy the mid level coasters and attractions. Give the small coasters a chance sometime. They're alright and it is always fun to get put on a train with someone who is downright terrified. It kinda reminds me of my first coasters when I was like that.

WHO!!!!!

I still like CCMR, and hope it stays even though I can't ride any more (there isn't enough leg room, so its just uncomfortable).

That being said, there's not much to talk about.

There's just so much more that could have been done to the ride. I'm also sure there's a family-like ride that could go there that would be more enjoyable for the whole family.

HAHA WOW!! Dont even know how that happened. Sorry John.:)
