Cedar point first time trip

Hi all,
I just joined this forum and I see a lot of useful information about many theme parks!
I would like to visit Cedar Point for the first time from Chicago and have a couple of questions..
1. I am going to buy the fast lane plus, wondering if anyone could give me some tips on what days to visit - weekdays or weekends, which ride to start with, and what the average wait times are for all the rides with fast lane plus, especially top thrill dragster and millennium force.
2. Is one day enough to cover all the rides with the fast lane plus? I want to ride Top thrill dragster and millennium force as many times as I can. Been to Kingdaka at Six flags great adventure and absolutely loved it.
3. Is the first row the best for all the rides? Does fast lane plus allow us to choose the front row?
4. What would be the best place to stay on a budget? Any cheap motels nearby?
5. What are the other things to do apart from Cedar point ? Any nearby attractions? How long will you recommend staying in Sandusky ?

Wait until you're in the park before buying your FastLane. If the crowds are light, you may not need it.

There are a multitude of factors that affect wait times, whether FastLane or stand by, which makes it difficult to make predictions. You should start with whatever ride you want to ride first.

One day is probably enough to experience all the rides that you want to ride; depends on the size of the crowd the day you visit.

Which row is "best" on any given coaster is a question of personal preference. I prefer Gemini's back seat, and Blue Streak's front seat, for example.

There are plenty of websites that allow you to enter a destination and bring up a list of hotels and motels, including TripAdvisor, Trivago, Expedia and Travelocity, that would allow you to find a nearby place to stay in your price range.

There are plenty of things to see and do in the area, including Put-in-bay, Old Woman Creek Nature Reserve, the Carousel Museum, the Rutherford B Hayes Presidential Center, sailing, beaches, water parks, shops, wineries, restaurants and more. Google "sandusky ohio tourism" and do a little research to find things that are of interest to you.

Well if you have fast lane plus it wont matter if your going on a weekday or not. You should start at the front because you should only wait 25 min max and that's probably for maverick. Millenium force and dragster wait time should only be about 15 min and so on. On dragster you can sit anywhere you want but front row will cause you to wait a extra 10 min compared to other seats. I would also say dragster best seat is front row but for other rides if you want airtime sit in the back but if you want a nice lake view sit in front .Also the fast lane basically lets you skip the line and go straight to the station. You will be able to ride every ride you want at least 3 times or more with fast lane. You would only need 1 day to stay unless you just wanted to stay for 2 days .
