I don't think that the Cyclone was over on the Current DT site. I thought it was up around Ocean Motion. I remember seeing a sign by the beach/hotel entrance next to OM.

However, the Wild Cat had a brief stay on the current DT site too.

I'm stumped on #3 (original name of the Magnum. If anyone knows this, it's Dan

Seven -- I think you have them backwards. Wildcat was near Ocean Motion (I think Jeff has a picture in the Gallery) Jumbo Jet and the Cyclone were near the site of DT.

My mind just went blank, but I think Magnum was "Psyco's Path."
Indeed, the Wild Cat was over near OM on the current site of Oceana, however, when the Jumbo Jet was removed, the Wild Cat was moved to that site when Oceana was built. There it stayed until Avalanche Run was built. I have pictures (slides) of the Wild Cat at all 3 locations. When I get around to developing them, I'll scan them and see if Jeff wants to add to his gallery.

You are right. I forget about the Wildcat on DT's site. I always associate that spot with Jumbo Jet.

If you don't mind loaning them to me, I can scan the slides themselves, and I'll even send them back with the high-res scans on a CD. E-mail me for details.

Most coasters, Highest drop on inverted coaster, tallest loop on inverted coaster, longest inverted coaster, most loops on an inverted coaster, First inverted coaster to use a cobra roll element, and coolest damn coaster in the world! oaky, so I made the last one up. 6 records...

A bonus Question for true CP freaks.

Bonus: Give the full name of the 1990 CP promotional video.

1990 Marketing Video. Well, that's what the label says, anyway. ;)

The full name of the 1990 promotional video:

"Get to the Point for 125 summers of the Amazement Park on America's Roller Coast where you can cure the Summertime Blues at the Queen of American Watering Places"

I really could have gone on with this ad nauseum (some would say that I did), but it just felt like time to quit.

Umm... I asked a certain person who was there when names were being tossed around for Magnum. His response:

"I must have missed that meeting. Magnum stuck very, very early on."

As far as the '90 video goes, for those who have never seen it, it's basically a twenty-minute show that looks at the history of the park and its then current rides. And it had that groovy "Cedar Point Will Move You" song.

Oh yeah, and there was a lot of big hair in it!

I wish that CP would commission a complete history video that is longer than 20 minutes. Have any of you seen the Kennywood Memories movie put out by Rick Sebak? Something similar to that would be cool!

I work right around the block from WQED, so one of these days, I'll pop in and ask him if he would ever do Cedar Point. I think, though, he would have to receive tremendous response in order to do it. Anyone behind me on this one?
