Cedar Point Rd. v/s Cedar Point Dr.

Heading up this Saturday for first time this season. I think this was mentioned before, but can't find it. Is this still a public 'side entrance' into park? We always liked it for the scenic value. I just never cared for the causeway.

Keep passing the fun along!

You can most certainly take the Chausseeway there. You will see signs trying to deter you from going on it but you can still drive down it.

The latest is a large electronic board directing you to keep going straight instead of taking Cedar Point Road.

For what it's worth, as is often the case, there is currently construction going on in front of more than one home that has the road down to one lane in certain spots. Any amount of heavier traffic would indeed be a headache.

But yes, there is nothing stopping you from taking Cedar Point Rd. if that is your choice.

There was a lively discussion on the morals of using the Chaussee this past offseason if you would like any further reading on the subject 😂

There was construction beginning of season but both lanes have been open whole way through for awhile now.

The chausee appears a bit battered from the winter storms this season. There are many spots where you can see the lake but couldn't before and I think some of the homes lost their lake side decks. I've also noticed leaving the park the road is a lot bumpier than last season.
