Cedar Point Shores

I think men are more used to things like open changing areas and gang showers than women, and mind it less. Back in the day it was a sure thing, now for some reason not so much.

Me, I'm at the waterpark in my flannel nightgown that goes up to my neck.

Doesn't anyone here use a locker room at a gym?

I feel like the ratio of old man balls would be way less at a waterpark than in my gym..

I went to CPS today and I think they did a great job with it. I really like the new drop slides. And the park looks nice and refreshed. I don't get the policy about not wearing rashguards on the new slides. I don't see what kind of hazards are associated with them. I wear one but had to leave it with the line attendant.

I had to google 'rash guard' to find out what you are talking about.

An actual rash guard is a tight fitting spandex-style compression shirt, is this what the park won't let you wear? Or are some people here calling a tshirt covering an overweight torso a rash guard and that's what the park won't allow?

Yes, the spandex thing is what I'm talking about. It's a shirt designed specifically for water use.

But, is it designed for water slide use? Perhaps the material is not slippery enough on the water slides and that causes problems? Parks set policy based on their experience with having thousands of people use an attraction every day. Reasons why are often not apparent to the general public.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I'm guessing Pete might be correct, if it's the tight fitting Spandex they won't allow.

I can understand the danger of a plain tshirt.

Are these things made out of material that's different than a women's swimsuit?

I always have to oil mine up to get it on, so....

The one I tried to use is made of the same stuff that they make competitive swimsuits out of, so no.

Then I honestly don't get what the problem with them is. Sounds like it should be no different than a woman wearing a one piece suit or conservative 2 piece.

They just want to look at a man's bare chest.

Have you seen some of the people that attend. They've got Maggie Smith over here like:

CPS closes today at 1:30 due to weather conditions.

Yes they closed the water park early...just awful weather 62 and sunny...not a cloud in the sky...slight breeze.

The park did this last year...it's one thing when it's storming or actually bad weather but this is purely a decision to save payroll...

And rightfully so. I'm sure there were all of about 12 people in the park, and they were all shivering somewhere.

The idea of being in water, even heated water, when its 62 degrees makes me start shivering here at my desk. I can see why they closed.

KI's Soak City closed at 3 today as well. Even if the polar bears were fine with it, a guard would be miserable if they had to get wet.

They probably closed it because there's no point in lifeguards standing around at slides while only 12 people are using the park. And those 12 are nuts to be swimming in 62 degree weather.

please, June, get warm soon like summer's supposed to be.......

^It's supposed to get to the 90's this weekend.
