I guess the rumors were true.
It says the same thing at the Cedar Fair website.
That was a very wise move.
I saw that one coming a million miles away.

Visionland is that a decent sized park????
Does anyone know what the official web address is for Visionland?
Visonland's website can be found at: http://visionlandpark.com/index.asp
It is not that big of a park, now with only one wodden coaster and a kiddie steel plus a waterpark. If I remember corectly 2000 will be the parks 3rd season.
Yes, it has only one woodie, but it happens to be Rampage, a CCI coaster that has been compared to Megafobia, often cited by coaster junkies as the best in the world. I'm going there in May just to ride it.

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.
My uncle lives in huntsville, already been invited to go down and stay a week. Were there.

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!
From what I read of the park, it is in the same vain as CP and Knotts. It was built using bonds voted on by the people in the area. So it was in a sense, a publically built park. It did well its first year, but weather issues cost it dearly recently. I hope CF can turn it around. And then buy it.

Regarding Rampage, it is basically the Megafobia design adapted for the terrain of the park. It's a phenominal ride. Great laterals and a world class finish. For the CCIs of 1998, it's the raging ying to Shivering Timbers calming yang. If you've ridden both, you'll know what I mean by that. :) I don't think Cedar Fair will touch it based on the fact that it's a CCI and that it's not 160' tall. Kudos to Cedar Fair for helping out this wonderful park and keeping a great coaster operating.

I heard that they have purchased over 500 acres, so it has a lot of land. How true is this? *** This post was edited by Clarkbar on 2/21/00. ***
