Coaster Moments

I got in trouble when I worked the summer of 1980 with those stupid carp.

please....I implore you....elaborate on this.

  1. 3. Driving over the causeway after a 2 1/2 hour drive, every time. 2. After last ride of the day watching everyone leave and walking around a deserted park like you own the place before going back to the hotel after closing. 1.First time on TTD front seat hands up, waiting for launch, 11:00 at night, no moon, what at thrill.

Do you suppose you would explode if you got within 5 feet of it in the winter?

I wouldn't doubt it.:)

Thats a bit far

lol Yes..yes it is.
I mean I couldnt help it. They werent tears of sadness, they more along the lines of that watery feeling you get in your eyes when you get real excited. But don't get me wrong, I was sad...just not enough to make me cry.;)

I'm Dragsters biggest fan for a reason.:D
I'm crazy!!!

About the tounching the handrails and seat-belt and stuff...

No, actually, I don't touch the hand-rails, and after touching the seat-belt, I wipe my hands on my shirt(which hopefully, magically, somehow gets rid of the germs..)

I guess canadians are a bit diffrent from americans, or atleast everyone I know is diffrent like that and would never 'slap' hands like that, after SARS and all the diseases floating around, you can't be too carefull.

I also found some of the 'locals' a bit funny if you know what I mean, but after going to CP, my view of americans did change... the patriotic stuff pissed me off a bit though... anyway, this is all a diffrent story.

Oh, and about the national anthem being played in the morning... it didn't, does it usually not play.

Okay, I'm way off topic now, continue...

I feel like giving Canada a great big hug. :)

Trust me Screamomatic, theres a BIG part of me that enjoys CP just for the people watching. The locals are indeed a bit..."funny"..;)

I dont know about the national anthem thing. Ive never heard it played at CP before.

I heard it every time I went last year.

It usually plays at 9am, 9:30am or...at the latest...10am. I've heard it at Lighthouse Point, in a line to an entrance and while walking the midways. I believe it's played just prior to the opening of the front gate.

Whoever has said about driving up to Cedar Point on the causeway, I agree with all of you! There is something about seeing all that steel rising from the horizon with the water to your left and right! It's one of the best views you'll ever have!

1. Driving around the access road to Lighthouse Point when you arrive and seeing all the coasters right next to you.

2. Millennium Force's station early in the morning, with the breeze coming off the water, the 'click' "Clear riders for your safety keep your hands and arms down and inside the train at all time..sit up right...hold on tight, and enjoy your 300 foot plunge on Millenium Force!", the you roll forward slowly, and then fly out of the station into heaven.

3. Dragsters station - I love the "If you do not understand these instructions or need clarification, contact a ride a host. Thank you for riding Top Thrill Dragster! And enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point! America's Rollercoast!" I love that part and the way he says it and how it merges with Ready to Go. I here that and it immediately makes me think of the point.

Wow this is the topic I've been waiting for! Reading all of these things makes me think I am there and then some. I mean I am thinking the same things. The best feeling IN THE WORLD is seeing the park from the causeway to me.

Being at CP is my #1 goal each year and wen I finally get there it sink's in to me (again each year) that HEY THIS PLACE IS REAL. ALL the pictures in the world can not do Justus for the park. I do feel special when I'm there. In addition more so in lines for big coasters I look around and see people in the line and say to my self, hay these people have the same interest as me, wow.

RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...

TTD 120mph's avatar

Well that's why we are all here, because we all have a common interest in Cedar Point.

And I think we can rate "Driving down the Causeway" as the favorite CP feeling.:)

Oh and to save you the ranting(from other people on here) CP03, I just want to point some things out about your post(spelling). I'm not trying to sound mean but you might want to edit your post. Fixing "wen" to when, "hay" to hey, and "pitchers" to pictures. Again I don't mean anything bad, it's just a little advise.:)

Sorry, TTD. I just could not pass that one up.

But, seriously - that is good advice.

;)
