From the looks of it, a cherry picker.

Yeah, that makes sense.

Brandon

Meanstreak makes more sense to me then a cherry picker...

Thy Kingdom Come. Thy will be done

No, I think that's the wrong angle to be MS.

Brandon

Looks like Mean Streak's lift hill to me.

djDaemon's avatar

Yeah, I guess you're (both) right. The angle seemed to be from further toward the water at first glance.

Brandon

Where else would you put a cherry picker with that angle on the midway back there, without running into Meanstreak. You can clearly see the top of the station in the lower part of the picture,The angle is right to be Meanstreak's lift. I may be wrong, but Im fairly sure my mind serves me right...

Who Knows...Circuit is complete thats one step closer to May.

I too think that pic was taken from MS.
I think that roof in the bottom right corner is MS's transfer building.

There is a road behind MS that it could be on. But you may be right, that could be from the lift hill. Just something about the angle of the shot and MS's layout doesn't seem right. Something is telling me that the track that goes over MS's lift should be in the shot somewhere (if only slightly visible). That's what makes me think cherrypicker.

At the same time, why park a cp over there for a picture when you have a great scaffold from which to take pictures?

Hey - that pic was taken from MS. (Post #4 in A Series of Repetitive Posts)

EDIT: ^ Yeah, that was my initial thought as well, though I think that the picture is taken from near enough to the station that the turnaround track is just outside the left edge of the photo.

Looking at it again, just above the roof that Adam pointed out, you can see the train track.

I shall now officially change my guess to Mean Streak.

Hey, where's that picture taken from? Is it from Mean Streak?

Where are all the people who went on and on arguing with me about whether or not the track would be all up before the park closed for the season?

I actually believe that since the main (most visual) part of the construction is done. This is going to make one boring offseason. MF, WT, TTD, maXair, and Skyhawk all had a lot of steel work to be done. In fact, WT was only foundations in October and maXair and Skyhawk weren't even started. Point is, there's nothing to see on the webcam or anything else of interest other than the station being complete, electrical, and landscaping.

I'm guessing the station frame will be done come Christmas and then electrical work will be taking place during January and February. The next time we see a lot of change to the site will be in March/April when landscaping starts to take place.

It's torture to see a ride so far along with construction, yet no one will have a chance to ride for another 6 months. I think it will be worth every one of those months though. Maverick looks great.

They specificaly say the last piece of "running track" has been installed. Is there still storage track yet to be installed?

Well this is good...at least we know that it will be ready in time for opening day. I never expected the construction to proceed so quickly!
