CP Season Passes

I called the cedar point "hot line" today and talk to some guy who was clue less about when CP opened early so people could get there pictures take with there season passes. I heard that they do this so you don't have to wait in may for a big old line. I'm not sure if anyone knows now but maybe they have known from past seasons, when does CP open so I can get my picture taken early??? I was planning on going map 5th then take a ride over to Six Flags Ohio.

Thanks Alot

In the past before I started working at Cedar Point I had was a season pass holder. Normally I think that you can get your picture taken for the actual pass a week before the park opens. But this year the on May 6 the park is closed for a private event. I think that you can go and get your pass starting on Monday May 8. I'm not to sure about that. What phone number did you call?
Call this number it's the season pass center phone number (419) 626-0830. If that's the number that you already called then call the Park Admissions Office at (419) 627-2331. I hope that I answered your questions. Enjoy your summer at Cedar Point!

I was just at the Cedar Point web page.

Yep... you can do it early. The number on the passes this year to call is (419) 627-2309 to find out when you can go. You really don't want to have to stand in line when the park is open.

Thank God the renewals only required a sticker!

Jeff another quicky, how long are the lines in May to get a season pass, because my one friend doesn't want to go with me he thinks its a waste of a day. I just want to know about how long it would take so I can know becuase if its over 20 min then im not gonna wait for him in May. I'm already going early then gonna head over to SFO but he doesn't want to.

Thanks,

From what I observed last year...pics taken for employee ID's and for season pass holders is all done with the same camera/computer... Season Pass Holders got to have their pics taken before the employees... So all I can tell you though, it's less wait than for us employees!

If you had a 1999 pass and still have it, you can have them slap a 2000 sticker on it when you pay for the 2000 pass. It helps by not having to have your pic taken this spring and just reusing the 1999 pass for the 2000 season. I had this done to my 1999 pass and I don't have to go back up there to have them shoot another pic of me. It saves a lot of time and trouble. Now next year for 2001, they said that they should be changing over to plastic, credit card like passes instead of the ones we are using now that look like bus passes.

It's my understanding that they'll switch to passes similar to the employee name tags/ID's for '01.

The wait on opening day last year was pretty bad... it took about half an hour for me to get done and get in. Relic: Tell your friend he/she is an idiot if you don't go early... it's worth it.

Directly from Cedar Point's website:

When can I redeem my 2000 season pass certificate for a photo I.D.?
2000 season pass certificates can be redeemed at the Season Pass Center at the park's main admission gate beginning Wednesday, April 19. The Season Pass Center will be open daily April 19 through May 12 (except Sunday, April 23). Hours will be Noon - 7:30 p.m. The Season Pass Center will be open during regular park hours beginning Saturday, May 13 and continuing throughout the season.

Gotta love the stickers.

Of course I spent about 45 minutes in line on closing day, so I guess it doesn't make that much of a difference, except for the Millennium Force shirt I'm wearing.

What's even nicer is that if you have a season pass certificate and a 1999 season pass, you can mail them right to the Season Pass Center and they'll put the sticker on for you and mail it back. That's what I did and it saves me a trip!

The more you ride it, the more you want it!

~~~Darla~~~
I want to get a season pass this year but i live in Mi. So i need to get it the first day i go to get my picture, right? so where do i get this done and where?
HA HA HA, MELLENIUM FORCE, YEAH BUDDY!
Parking passes cost $45 I think. I got mine during hallowweekends and only had to pay $20. Also last year when I went to get my picture taken. I was a week before the park opened and it was on a saturday. The whole process only took about 10 minutes.
Christy can you clarify your last post? Because I've had a season pass AND worked at CP and that definitely isn't the case. The season pass pictures are taken at the season pass center, the employee pictures are taken at human resources. Season pass center is by the front gate of the park, right outside of the ticket booths, and human resources is by the marina and Cedars. I could be reading your post wrong though so I dunno, but that's my take right there.
FunPhantom, the Season Pass Center is where you want to go and it is located to the left of the main ticket windows if you are facing south. This is the place where your picture will be taken. I do suggest getting this done before the season starts because the place is always busy and the room where you buy the pass is smaller than my bedroom! Also, they can only take one picture at a time and you have to wait for them to lamiate your card. I got my pass in early June around noon and it took me about a half hour.
(D'oh! Don't you hate it when people beat you to the post?) *** This post was edited by BradwagsCP on 2/28/00. ***
Natalie - well, when I was standing in line at HR, a family came in and were all getting their pictures taken and ID cards... What else would they be getting id cards with pictures for? I could be mistaken.
