Today while looking on Ebay I found one of the maverick cd gave out by Tony & Tylar.

Oh yay. That's just wonderful that people are selling these so soon.

Sure says a big "thank you" to the people who take all the time and effort to send them out.

I understand selling it in a few months, but a mere couple of weeks after they send it to you seems kind of ungrateful to me. If I were the one sending them, I'd make sure they person didn't receive one in the future, provided they're a private party and not a major news outlet, which seems highly unlikely in this scenario.

That's what I was trying to determine. But the only location from Michigan listed in the winners list on the blog is Waterford. Which is a long ways from Boyne City.

It's probably one of the Media ones. The posters/calendars end up on eBay each year as well.

That might not be one of the give aways. It could be one of the 100's or 1000's that they sent to the media.

True, but I'm not entirely sure why a media outlet would sell it. I know plenty of private individuals are on the "media" list, and that would be the first place I would look if I was interested in finding out who was selling.

I'm not saying it's a big deal for them, but then again, I know if I took the time to include someone as media, and they turned around and sold their kit, I wouldn't include them in the next mailing.

That's just me, though.

Like Dear Abby says:

"Once a gift is given, the reciever of the gift can do with it what they please."

I'm sure CP figures on some of the stuff ending up on EBay.

I really don't think it's that big of a deal.

While that may be true, I would personally wait a while. I'm not saying not to sell it at all.

I still have a Milennium Force press kit that I don't know what to do with, but I'm thinking about selling it at some point.

Stop by the marketing office and they'll probably give you one for free if they had extras.

It just so happens I'm the current high bidder on that press kit.

I already won one off of e-bay. I am just waiting to recieve it in the mail.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I can't find it now, but just about 2 hours ago I ran across a set of numerous press packets, the Skyhawk Media Day vest, and the Maverick CD-Rom.

I bought one off of eBay last week. Apparently many of the cases ended up cracked when they were mailed. The one I have was hand delivered to the previous owner and therefore is not cracked.

Yeah, both of the ones I got in the mail from the park were cracked. That's where they cut their costs: the cases were some of the cheapest I've ever seen! :)

But, it's not like you couldn't easily swap out the disc and cover for a new case.

The Skyhawk vest was nice, but I really enjoyed the maXair media day sweatshirts we got. Still my favorite sweatshirt 1.5 years later. :)

Well, I was the high bidder on it until this thread started...

Want to clue me in to that location? Of course, I've been in contact with the marketing dept. before, so I guess I could just go that route...

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

The marketing office is over behind the Matterhorn bathrooms. Take the sidewalk to the right of the bathrooms, and then there's a walkway behind the guard shack there to the Marketing office.

If T&T went through the trouble of having a contest, I'd be suprised if they just gave them away to any random person who stopped by. But who knows. You don't know if you don't ask right?

Being in contact with the marketing dept. enough that at least one person there knows your name can be an advantage Jason. ;)
