Educational type trip

I am the treasurer for the FBLA (Future Business Learders of America), and we go on a end of the year trip for like an overnight stay somewhere. But the chatch is that the school will only approve it if there is some kind of educational benifit. So i was wondering if Ceder Point does something like a backstage tour or something like that to show the business side of things.

hmmm... If you had said engineering, I'd say sure. But business... that's a little tricky. at least it seems like it to me.

Well, you might be able to get a tour where you learn about the business of CP, such as money managing, ride upkeep, and the manager would probably have a thing or two to tell you about business.

Top 5 coasters:
1)Top Thrill Dragster
2)Maverick
3)Millennium Force
4)Raptor
5)Wicked Twister

Easiest way to find out... call or email park operations.

I would recommend call.

If you email, run spell-check first.

I disagree. While there are many engineering aspects to the park, the business aspects are just as important to the running of CP.

Everything within the park as to be made based on a business decision. From how many staff members to employ at each ride, how much to charge for food and admission, how economically feasible a new ride is. They simply can't spend $25 million per year at each park to erect a new coaster every year.

They need to analyze the benefits of new rides and the impact those will have on the number of attendees and if that benefit outweighs the cost of that particular ride/improvement.

It's really amazing to really consider the effort that may be put into each decision within the park.

You could try to get a tour with a manager. It's the offseason, so they're not doing anything, right? ;)

2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator

Some kid in one of my college classes who was in high school still was in that future business leader of america. Hopefully good grades wasn't part of being a future business leader...of america.

^^You think he really wants a tour in the offseason? If I were him I'd be trying my best to schedule a trip during open season so I could see first-hand how the business runs. If I happened to be going 120mph in the front row of TTD, then that is just a little extra icing on the cake.

All while I'm supposed to be in class. ;)
