Ever ride the double ferris wheel?

I always tried to ride usually the last thing before we left. This was a fun ride. This is originally the reason Cedar Point became my favorite amusement park because they had a double ferris wheel and none of the other parks did. The year they took it out I had no idea it was gone until I got to the park that year.

Now adays I can't find this ride anywhere. Even the Ohio State Fair no longer has one. Anyone been to a fair or festival lately that featured a double ferris wheel or its offical name Sky Wheel?

Up here in Michigan, the town I live in has a fair every September. The company that puts on the fair, I believe is called, Pugh Shows; They do, in fact, have a double ferris wheel!

I'm too sexy for my harness!

Yep... rode it a few times and by some freak of timing with the family, on closing day it's last year. Back in the days when you didn't know a ride wouldn't be there because of the internet.

Ahh the days of not knowing what was new until Channel 11 did a story or you started to see the commercials in March.

There is a great one at the Allen County Fair in Ohio (Lima). Its very fun/scary because you know who made it. (Carnies)

Let's Get Weird.

Strates Shows still has one. When I used to live in NC, I always wanted to ride it at the NC State Fair. But every time I was there it was broken down. *** Edited 11/13/2007 9:39:25 AM UTC by RyanTTD120***

I loved the double ferris wheel. I remember it being at the front of the park near the entrance to the Sky Ride. Best and scariest part of the ride was when you were at the very top of the arc and going over!!!

I have no idea why, but I freak out everytime I'm on a ferris wheel. I'm definently not afraid of heights (Millennium Addict) and I get scared on the Sky Ride too. Hmm...I don't know why..=/

As long as I'm moving quickly, I'm totally cool. It's when the thing stops I freak out. So, I'm not a big fan of Ferris wheels either. I can do Sky Ride, but I still freak out. All I think about are the tiny little things that have to fail in order for me to die. ha ha!!

In Michigan Madonna amusements has one!! Its very nice it looks new. I will never forget the time my friend that gets sick on rides rode it with me and I told him it was smooth, but half way through it he ended up sharing his dinner with everyone below us when it spun! I felt so bad!!!

^^I get that way on Sky Ride all the time. I'm fine until I think about that cable that is holding me up there. Similar to the thoughts of skydiving and how much I don't trust those parachutes.
