Excellent Ride, but......

MF is a very good ride. You get pulled very slowly out of the station at first by a steel thing on the cable but then all hell breaks loose! My only problem with the ride is that it seems very short due to the speed of the train. It was worth the 3 hour wait, but it seems it could have been longer!

I agree. I almost wish there there was a holding brake at the top of the hill (like the Vert. Coaster on Roller Coaster Tycoon)
Not that it wasn't worth the wait though :)
Once they get the third train working, they trains will be pulled out of the station very quickly.

Why does 3 trains have an effect on how fast the trains leave the station?

Because you need to get it out quickly so the train in the unload can move up, as well as the train entering the brake run.

Yes, but that doesn't answer the question: If normal operation is to have the trains jerked quickly out of the station with three trains operating, why do the trains not jerk quickly out of the station with only two...or only one...operating?

Good question. If I had to guess, it would have something to do with the anti-rollbacks not disengaging properly. I've nothing to support that theory, I'm just reaching.

How quickly will they be able to get people out? Will one car be unloading, one loading, and one doing the ride, or will there be 2 on the ride, and 1 unloading, then loading?
In the Cleveland Plain Dealer I read that it has gears sorta like a 10 speed bike. So this is the reason it starts off slow and gets faster and faster. Just thought I'd clear this up.

All coaster motors have transmissions. In fact, the motor and transmission of this ride doesn't look much different from the outside than S:ROS at Darien.
