Harbor Belle Cruise

Does anyone know if the sightseeing cruise still happens or if it was canceled? I don't see anything from last season about it.

Thanks

According to the park it was just a one season thing. I was told that the Harbor Belle is being used as a shuttel from Castaway Bay to Cedar Point. I really enjoyed the dinner cruises that they had.

That's too bad. There's pictures on here that I've seen and it looked like a good time. It would be something nice to do on a multi-day trip.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I have heard that it's being used as a shuttle, but also read somewhere that it was having some mechanical problems, but those very well could have been corrected by now. I've seen it docked, but never, even during the season when they held the cruise, seen it in action.

Yes, We took the Harbor Belle a few times that year while it was in operation. I think it was only like 7 dollars to ride. And they served on board. In fact now that I think about it. We took that boat ride on the day of the massive blackout. It was a strange image from the water seeing the park shut down during a day in august. We were very hungry expecting to eat dinner and all the resteraunts were closed. So we were sitting on the Cedar Point dock eating potato chips for dinner.

Peace, Mikey

The Harbour Belle was sold in October 2006. The new owner moved her to Cambridge, Maryland and I was a member of the delivery crew. His goal was to refurbish her and then take her up the Potomac River, dock her in Washington D.C. and use her for private parties and dinner cruises. Unfortunately, the new owner went bankrupt and the Belle is sitting on the hard waiting for someone to buy her.
