Heartline roll, more detail

This site was covering the IAAPA show and in one of the captains they said Sandor Karnacs was answering questions about Intamin's recent rides, including Maverick. I found it interesting to hear what the real case was.

That is really interesting, and speaking of the heartline role... I was driving home from school today, and on Route 30 I saw the two pieces of the heartline role just laying in the storage area for Adena.

That explanation makes sense. I fully understand now the decision they made.

Thats really not too far off from what Tony Clark said back in May about it.

R.I.P. MrScott... You're greatly missed!!

I was going to say, that's not really any new information.

I really do wish the roll would have stayed. It was a cool element that I wanted to experience but I guess I wont. To bad it had to be removed.

I found it to give a bit more detail than what was release from CP. Interesting none-the-less.

Yes, that's very interesting. Where would the roll have been placed if it were to be on the track?

After the launch above the Swan Pond. If you dont know what that is its in the animation videos.

I would have loved to experience the heartline roll at least once. But I think I would have prefered it the way it is now. Oh well.

I would just like more inversions in the park. Let me restate that: I would like more inversions that dont kill your head.

The only ride that doesnt kill my head with inversions is Maverick.

But that can wait till after the new woodie. :)

Ahh, the new woodie with inversions that kill...well...people.

Maverick is an awesome coaster an it might be my favorite right now, but i think if they heartline roll would have stayed it would have been even better.... wish i could have tried it once to see how much better it would have been, but then again dont we all?!?!

Here Come the Irish!

This is best explanation I've read about the removal. It makes perfect sense now. I wouldn't want to replace 6 trains every 5 years!!

I am the KeyMaster!!

Interesting find. I never heard the real story, nice to get the in depth detail.

I think they shoulda kept it for one season though.. lol

Yeah, maybe just to test it out and see the reactions of people. Does any coaster have a heartline roll? I'd really like the experiance that =)

Thats a barrell roll.. ;)

I also think that the roll on Raptor is quite different. You are under the track instead of on it. The forces are pushing you into the seat. Maverick would be pushing you into the harness.
