This rumor is SO out of wack that i don't even know why i'm telling you guys!! My one friend said that you had to be at least 16-years-old and 5"6" to ride MF!! What is the height requirement? I'm sure you have already answered this question before but i haven't been on this sight in a looooooooooooooong time!
The official height requirement is set at 54" to my knowledge.
That's 4'6" I believe. Friend was a foot off.

The height requirement is 54 inches, or 4'6". There is no age requirement as far as I know. This info is on the Cedar Point website.

I believe there *is* an age requirement, however, if you are accompanying a small child on those rides which allow it.

If they were a child, they wouldn't be riding, so there really is no age requirement.

Are you joking? They dont allow senior citizens on some of there rides? Age should have nothing to do with it. They post risks with signs and people should then make there own conclusions.
Wait, I remember in 90' my Grandmother rode the Mine Ride. Then she was 70.

Umm, Magnum & Power Tower DO ALLOW Senior Citizens. We take my Mom (72 this year) to the Point every Mother's Day. (ain't we sweet) She always rides Magnum and Power Tower. She hasn't decided if she'll try MF but I'll let you know.
I think the ONLY AGE requirement CP has is the height requirements for all rides are for MINORS (thats under 18).
Well actually Dave you are correct - there is an age requirement. No hand-held infants is a major one but children have to be 3 years old to go on rides such as Troika, Super Himalaya, etc, where children are allowed on accompanied by an adult.
The RideMan is right again. Hehe.

Actually, Natalie, I wasn't thinking about that so much as the one that defines a "responsible person". From the text located on http://www.cedarpoint.com/rides/under36.htm--
"...some rides require that a rider under 36 inches tall be *accompanied by a responsible person*. A responsible person must:
o Be at least 16 years old and meet the criteria to experience the ride.
o Appear mature enough to safely accompany a small child on the ride, and ensure that the child remains seated properly during the ride."
That's the only place in CP policies that I know of where a customer has to be at least 16 years old.
Now I've come up with another mystery on the ride height pages, but I think it is a typo.....

Yes I came across that one on Troika a lot too now that I think about it. It's a bit shady though, because the only thing we have to go by is appearance at first, then asking the person how old they are. And some 14 and 15 year olds looked a lot more reponsible accompanying children than a lot of parents did.
