How does Oktoberfest affect crowds?

I have planned to go to Geauga Lake on Sunday Sept 18. I understand this is during Oktoberfest. I am not really interested in Oktoberfest itself, I just want to ride the rides! How much will the crowds be affected because of Oktoberfest?

Thanks!

Sunday should be slower than Sat, but the weather didn't cooperate this year. So it will be tough to say. Also remember that the waterpark isn't open... right? I really didn't check but i can't imagine that it is open anymore. And even a smaller crowd will result in more conjestion on the rides.

Over two years!!! I think it's time to bring this topic back. lol. My wife and I are going to GL Oktoberfest this year and i'm curious as to what it is like. I've read about the beer tasting and "wine making" (grape stepping on), but is it really worth the hype? Quote Bobby Hill: "Dad, I like beer!" But is Oktoberfest really Oktoberfest, or glorified frat party @ amusement park. Now, please, be-little me fellow buzzers!

Well, okay, if you insist. You have bad taste in clothes and a poor sense of humor, none of your friends really like you, and your wife's fashion sense is laughable. Is that good enough? ;)

Oktoberfest, which CF just brought back, was a rip roaring success for the park. The midways were as busy as I've seen in years. There was lots of German-themed activity going on, and the place had a real family atmosphere and an energy it's been sorely missing for eons. Vendors and craftpeople everywhere. And the beer was most definitely flowing. Overpriced, but flowing. Even with all that, though, the rides were fairly quick to get on: fifteen minute waits or less for pretty muche everything.

I wish I could give you more specifics about the Oktoberfest stuff, but I was only there for my coasters.

And P.S. If you check again, it was only 1 year 5 months, give or take, between posts.

I don't think trekkies are allowed to make fun of people who have actually kissed a girl, much less actually married one. ;)

I might have to try and get to Oktoberfest one of these years. I usually end up at Halloweekends though.

p.s. Mike, kissing your mom before you go to bed at night in her basement doesn't count. ;)

Yes, that's right. Do not piss off the Federation, or you will swiftly find yourself in a world full of tribbles. ;)

And hey, man, it's not a basement -- it's a walkout! I can come or go any time I want!

And how do you know so much about Mom? I thought she turned off that webcam!
