Josh..just so you know..there is a meeting and gathering folder here in CP place that already has a thread opened regarding meeting up opening day..Not to speak on Jeffs behalf, but he is probably just clearing out repetitive topics and stuff....

Just my $.02

Actually, I know what he's talking about. I've posted several threads that have gotten no replies at all.

I guess if you don't post on this board every day (even if you have read the board since its inception) no one gives you the time of day.

...and that's just my two cents.

I think something gets messed up if you hit the back button on your browser.
Please! I've been coming here for over a year on and off. I just started to post about 2 months ago. Heck my 2-3rd post was about the strangest CP rumors and it got over 80+ post! This message board doesn't suffer from making fun of newbies or anything...Its just people get sick of seeing "What coaster should CP get next" "CP is running out of space" "What coaster type is your fav" "what coaster don't you like at CP" "They should get rid of Disaster Transport" "Which is better CP or Six Flags" these post will die young most of the times. New people are welcome to post, its all about the quality of the topic, not the person who posted it.

PLEASE READ ALL OF ME!

I have begun to wonder if this C.P. Place is just a circle of CP obscced fans(sp?). (PLEASE READ ON! YOU WILL GET MY POINT!) I have poasted many topics on the Millennium Force section such as: New Pictures, or Construction Diary Update and get either 0 or 1 responses. Whenever someone else does, they get a ton of responses. I am not looking for the most posts, I just would like to know. (Jeff never gave me an answer to the question I asked him when I e-mailed him.) I have had the same problem many times as Josh has. I was saying that CP had modified the webpage, and he responede that we don't need to keep Cedar Point's homepage under a microscope. What?!?! These sorts of statements bug me . . . how come others never get deleted? Huh?? Huh????
The way this place is being ran is not at it's best. This post was not to critizie the website, just to open up a window for others to speek from. :( Sadly, I think I might be taken my privilage to use this web-site, but I believe in battling to the end! To sum all this nonsense up, Jeff needs a fair-ness policy! Once again: :(

Cedar Point will never again be the same.
FIGHT TO THE END, ALL YOU C.P.'ers!

If it makes you feel any better, I have had at least 3-4 threads deleted. *** This post was edited by CP_genius on 4/13/2000. ***
WEll, I had a page long reponse ready to send for this topic, but unfortunately my very fickle internet service ( Won't mention any names because we already know who it is) kicked me off. (That'll teach me to write long responses on a word processing prg.) But anyway, the main idea of my response was this: Without reiterating everything that has already been said so many times, When I load GTTP, I comfort in the fact knowing that Jeff runs a first class sight, and I won't have to wade through the garbage that is present on so many other fourms. When I post, I accept the fact that my post may be deleted if it is does not contribute constructively to the conversation at hand. Saying that this and that "sucks" without even supplying any type of substation is perceived by most people as juvenile. No one has to be a hard guy. Although this is the inofficial site of CP, it IS THE official site for the fans of CP. Sure, constructive criticism is welcome by members and even the corporation representatives (probably even Kinzel himself)who read this site daily, but it doesn't give anyone a license to disrespect. We are here because we are proud to support CP and it's parent coporation. That's the basis upon which this site was founded. In my personal opinion, we ARE a family, and those who dispresect the family (God father--lol) are likely NOT to be accepted by others. This is nothing new , though, human society has been based on this since caveman days. So think before you write something, you may be committing sacrilige ;) . In conclusion, if you think your glass of vinegar may be a little more than half empty, you may want to consider taking that glass somewhere else

Way to go Dave! Jeff does run a first class site.
I have had a post deleted on Coasterbuzz. I deserved it because it was disrespectful, even though I didn't mean it to be that way. I even sent in an apology without having to be asked. I myself, like all others, have to learn about proper content and how to follow the rules. Jeff is fair and puts in many hours keeping CP Place and Coasterbuzz up and running. Way to go Jeff!
:) :) :)
Jeff does run a first class site and i have posts deleted and i have posts that get 20 + responces. But I am a newcomer to this site, just finding it about a mouth ago and i have learned so much form it. People need to quit complaining and be thankful for how good of a site this really is.
I have been on this site since a few months after CP closed last season. And overall I would say my acceptence has been just as fair as others. (I am glad to hear that the big people on this site have their topics deleted also.) I was not to sure about this site at all when I first came. I remember posting topics about the Raptor how there was a rattle and also how it kept stopping on the lift right when I became a member here. I honestly thought no one would respond. But you all did and some of those topics went over 50 posts. I was amazed. and i didn't even introduce myself. There have been other posts I have put on that have been deleted. Sure i have not been happy but that is the rules. I have not meet anyone on this website yet. I would say that I have been treated overall very good. As far as most people not posting to threads like new pictures or diary updates; I think those are there to alert us that there are new pictures or a new update. I rarely post in those because I can't find anything to say about it in all honesty. I am happy that there are those posts there as I come to GTTP first thing when I am online. Well based on all that I don't think jeff is in his office looking at the person who submitted the post and deleting people he doesn't like. 'Let's see oh another post from Hooper well that is trashed' I don't think so. Sorry to ramble on like that. :)

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!
The answer is quite simple. The main reason people don't respond to some messages is that there is simply nothing to say. To wit: "Hey! Cedar Point just updated their web site!". Response? Nothing. Part of the reason, of course, is that everyone goes to check it out and see what's different. But if we've all seen it, and the change is not something of earth shattering importance...what is there to talk about? We move on to something else. It's not anything personal; that's just the way people are. --Dave Althoff, Jr.

Mr. Koch seems to get it, particularly the "think before you post" part. Nothing is more irritating when another "what CP needs" or "Mean Streak sucks" thread appears. Even more irritating is seeing that a thread has new posts only to find "LOL."
