June 17th thru 19th? How to plan trip....

My family and friends are making our 1st trip to CP Sunday Juney 17 thru Tuesday Juen 19 and staying at Breakers with early entry. Wanted to get opinions of if a Fast Lane pass would be recommend for Sunday? I had planned to ride as many coasters as possible on Sunday and then spend Monday & Tuesday morning doing kiddie rides with my little girl or are there any suggestions on how I should plan to be able to do coasters and other rides during my stay.

Thanks,

Chris

Trip is almost set, I did have a question since trip seems to be adding up quickly. Would I save anymore money and if I did is it worth the hassle to not stay on property and maybe drive in 30min or so to Cedar Point. We dont have to have early entry as we will have Fast Lane passes but once adding in parking, etc. is it a wash?

Thanks

Nothing like the Breakers for convenience. You can come and go at you leisure. They have the pools and beach. I take you already have the reservation. Yes, off site is cheaper for the room. Off site you will not get early entry and will have to pay for parking. Tickets can be had for less at the Breakers reservation desk than at the gate. The have numerous didfferent options some include Soak City. Also, forget the Fast Lane you won't need it. In three days you'll have plenty of time to ride averything more than once. Depending on what you are paying for your room it still might be cheaper off site, but at the Breakers you avoid the hassle of driving and by skipping fast Lane you'll save pleny.

Put your early entry to good use. One day enter through the resort gate and hit Maverick then MF and Raptor. Next day go in the beach gate and hit Raptor, MF then Maverick. Maybe one day get in line for Dragster during early entry. Once the park officially opens at 10 the back of the park (Frontier Town) is empty. Start there and hit those rides and then work your way up to the front starting with Gemini. Rides like Blue Streak have no lines in the evening, Raptor too, for a repeat ride. The front of the park has long lines from opening until mid afternoon. After early entry I like to ride the rides as I come to them. To me it saves time. Don't run from one end to ride Maverick then go Windseeker and then Back Camp Snoopy. The kids areas have no lines and are scattered throughout the park.

I agree with Clevelandkid, staying on property I think is the way to go. I think I'm like everyone else and don't want to pay more than I have to for our vacation. We're staying at the breakers at the end of the month. Staying there give's us alot of options throughout the day, without the need to drive anywhere. If the the kids or the old folks get tired, we can walk back to the hotel for a break and get ready for round two in the evening.

Plus there is no rush to leave after luminosity this year. Breakers is usually still buzzing with people til 12 to 1 a.m. in the morning.

Will also be there on your dates. Staying at the breakers, will getcstarlight pass for sunday night with fastane for monday and tuesday. Looking frwardvtovstaying at breakers, in order to just park and leave the car for three das. Also gives us optins fr swim nap, or whatever for afternoon break.

I'll be there Mon, Tue, Wed that week. Anyone want to go in on a fastlane for Tuesday? I doubt we'll need it...but who cares? If it saves me an hour of wait time, it's worth it.

OK we are getting closer to our date for our CP trip and the weather report is driving me crazy. It seems like it changes daily...lol

The national weather service says it will be partly sunny which would be perfect

While the weather channel say its isolated showers on Sunday and chance of rain on Monday.

Any idea of which one is more accurate..huhhhhhhh lol

I would trust the NWS 100 times more then the Weather Channel, but that's just me.

OK we were set to leave on Sat night 6/16 for our trip to CP on Sunday 6/17 & 6/18. Weather has changed several times and now is showing a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms on Sunday and 20% chance of rain on Monday. Just curious if you all would make the trip (9hr drive on our part)!!!!!!!! decisions, decisions, decisions!

Unless there's consistent rain for several days in the forecast, a 40% and 20% chance are great times to go. I've been going to Cedar Point for 35+ years, and have never had a day when it rained all day. (maybe just a little lucky there), but CP is pretty good about opening rides after a rain.
Ride On!

We're practically in a drought situation right now. If it does rain, it won't be for a long period, and may keep the crowds lower. If it rains for an hour, go take a nap. That's the good thing about staying on site.

Chris

Thank you very much, its official WE ARE GOING! :) With Sunday being Father's Day and a chance of rain should I buy FL passes or go to park and see how it looks. The site says they only sell a limited amount a day so I wouldnt want to miss out. We are staying at Breakers Sunday and Monday. WE ARE GETTING EXCITED!

Thanks everyone!

Wait until you get there for FL. Sundays and Mondays are slower, unless you want instant access to TTD/MF/Mav. I'd guess 30-45 minute wait later in the day. While Millennium Force is my fav coaster, Magnum XL-200-I could ride all day(I was there in May '89, and waited 3 hours to ride).

Hope the rain today didn't ruin things for you. Looks nice right on the web cam.

It doesnt look like it rainted...lol We actually pushed the trip back and plan on going Tues/Wed as the weather looks great for those days. Who knows tho, as much as it changes I wouldnt be suprised if rain creeps back into the forecast....just my luck :)

Me and 2 others could be interested if you get this before tomorrow. (doubt it)
