Lockers?

You know how for the Millennium Force if you have bags or anything you have to rent a locker to put your stuff in? Do you have to do that for gatekeeper? Or are there bins there to put your stuff in?

Bins are for small small things, everything else has to go in a locker unfortunately. Only part of the ride procedures I'd change as the bins actually are big

One thing I would change is collect all the bins in the whole park and throw them into Lake Erie. Then also the lines will go so much faster.

Except for ladies large bulk purses. They can carry those with them but if want to take a drawstring bag I am sorry.

^^Can I get an amen!

Then procedures changed last time I went with my girlfriend she had to put her bag in a locker

This really bugged my group; they have bins there and it's not like you get on and off at 2 different spots.

the locker is optional but they do have bins on both sides of the platform for you

total millennium force rides :28 funny how it used to scare me

Some items they will not let you into the line with and force you to go to your car or put in a locker

The bins in the station are bigger than the lockers in the park and there are seperate bins for each train. I don't get it. I'm thinking that if people were told to use lockers it may have been misinformed employees.

On July 6th we were chatting with the Gatekeeper line entrance host about this. He said that the bins on this ride are there for hats, glasses, and flip flops. He explained that bags are only allowed to be put in the bins if they aren't any larger than a small fanny pack.

In our group, for example, my fiancé was required to put her small vinyl drawstring backpack in a locker, however he allowed my mother's small fanny pack.

I rode it a dozen or so times over three days and witnessed several people make it all the way to the station with a larger bag (the entrance host must not have seen them), only to be told that they can't ride unless they exit the station, place their bag in a locker, and then wait in line again.

Why do people have to carry backpacks all the time? Leave you stuff in the car or better yet at home. I am a diabetic and have to watch what I eat. So I wear cargo shorts and carry snack bars in one pocket, keys in another and my wallet--travel light and enjoy the day!

Allow me to offer some assistance, as I have told this to many of my guests.
The only bags that are allowed in line are bags that are small enough to ride with the person. Fanny packs and small bags can ride if they're secure and do not interfere with the harness. The platform bins are for small loose articles like keys, wallets, phones, glasses, etc. There is room in the bins for bags; however, not room for everyone's bag. Larger bags, stuffed animals and basket balls must go into a locker or with a non rider.

I'm still disappointed there are bins there at all. Besides causing confusion, any effort to inconvenience the people who believe they have to carry a giant bag of crap around with them all day is a good thing.

Corkscrew, if those at the true rules, then there is a ton of inconsistency in enforcing said rules. In addition, if that's all your allowed to store, then the bins are way larger than necessary.

It seems the bins are sized according to the gaps between queue rails, rather than to a specific capacity.

And Corkscrew's description is exactly how I've seen it enforced, though I've only been in the park a few days this season.

But that's not what the bins are being used for. They're being used for small items like hats, that cannot be shoved down one's shirt like on MF or TTD (due to restraint design).

Still say it's to sell money to use lockers as those bins could hold a couple bug out bags easily with no problem. Ah well I didn't make the rules

The enforcement must vary widely. I've carried around my backpack sized camera bag and have never been told to put it in a locker on rides with bins.

MF & TTD don't even have bins.

We try to be as consistent as possible. As the supervisor on platform, I keep a look out for items that make it to platform that shouldn't. The entire crew would agree with your second statement. Especially when guests become upset that we have bins. We assumed the bins were going to be smaller, like maXair's or Skyhawk's. These are just what we were given and the rules which we were told to follow.
