Max Pass $25 cheaper at GL??!!

GL is selling Max Passes for $100!!!

$25 Cheaper than CP or PKI! Plus is still $149. That is strange.

Check again ... CF Maxx passes @ GL are the standard $125 price tag.

Yesterday, they were $105.

Still, you'd have to go to Geauga Lake to get it. Not worth the savings, IMO.

Dude there is no savings, they are the same price.

Once again, you try to point out a so-called "mistake" on my part, when you should read post again instead of trying to be a prick.

I'll spell it out for you one more time.

Yesterday, they were $100.95 on the GL website. It still would not be a deal because you would actually have to actually go to Geauga Lake to get it.

Thanks for playing, though.

Are you sure I'd actually have to actually go to GL? Or would I have to actually go..maybe actually have to go.

I'm confused ;)

Ride on, MrScott!

I wasn't trying to be a prick, just stating the obvious ... and not the only one either. Who cares what you are "spelling out" brainiac - it doesn't matter. They are not that price anymore.

In any case, who are you to spell out who lives closer to what park. I have good friends that live closer to GL and have CP passes and go to CP many more times than GL. If the pass at GL was cheaper, I am sure they'd be more inclined to buy it there and it would not cost them any more $$$ just to drive there and get it.

The only one playing is you ... oh and you lost.

It has nothing to do with who lives closer. I hate Geauga Lake, and it wouldn't be worth the $25 for me to go there for a pass.

Simple as that.

edit: turns out I'm on the phone with your "good friend" right now. I live within 15 minutes of him and sure, I'm closer, but it's still not worth it for me.

Okay kids, let me settle this. Yes, Josh was talking to me on the phone.

If Geauga Lake's season passes were cheaper, and if I could somehow get one without it interrupting my plans to visit Cedar Point (like last year-CP opened a week before GL did-I went to both opening days), then I might go to Geauga Lake and get the pass. The main reason for getting a Cedar Point pass was parking on the pass.

Anyway, this all doesn't matter because Geauga Lake's Maxx Pass does cost the same price as Cedar Point's Maxx Pass, and it was different for one day, but oh well!

Don't worry be happy :) *** Edited 9/22/2006 11:21:06 PM UTC by Jeff Young***

Wouldn't it have been easier to come right out and just say that then instead of telling everyone it was a waste of time. So, okay then, not everyone hates GL. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either.

... and wow okay you do have friends after all. I wasn't sure, you must not be such a jerk to everyone then.

That's exactly what I said in the first place. I never said it was a waste of time for everyone. It was implied that it was my personal thought on the matter.

I used to be in the same boat as you. I didn't hate it, and I didn't love it. Well, when I was a kid, I loved it because we always went to company picnics, but now it's just ruined for me. The fun just isn't there but I can't explain why.

I copied and pasted to an e-mail from work to home yesterday during the day, there WAS a difference of $25 and I was going to do the GL pass thing instead of CP since overall it was only going to cost me $6.00 more to get the pass. My kids love the water park, so GL will get our attention anyway this year, and we just would have gone earlier so we had our passes in hand. I can forward the e-mail to anyone who wants it, but overall, won't do you any good now. I had to send it home to explain to the wife why we'd be getting GL passes instead of CP. Go back to plan A I guess.

Does anybody know if we will be able to get the Maxx Pass at GL and have it processed before CP opens since GL isn't opening until May 26th next year??

"If it looks good, you'll see it; if it sounds good, you'll hear it, if it's marketed right, you'll buy it; but... if it's real, you'll feel it."

Nope, they all have to be processed into the system at the same park you buy them. It says this somewhere amongst CP's pages, I'm just not sure where.

I am not asking if i can get it processed AT CP i was wondering if they will have the processing center open in April so if anyone wanted to go to CP before GL opens May 26th.

I highly doubt it and the only reason that it's cheaper at GL is because GL is opening later...

I just bought my Maxx Pass at Carowinds for only $89.99. I also got free season parking at Carowinds. I wonder why it's cheaper...

I'd just like to jump in here by saying that Worlds of Fun is selling Maxx Passes for $85, and I got mine for only $75.

It's because I'm just that amazing.
