MaxAirs swing amount

When I rode MaxAir last weekend it seemed as if Cedarpoint increased the swing amount by three or four more swings for it; it felt like I was never going to get off of the ride. Did anyone else notice this at all this season? *** Edited 5/23/2006 12:46:47 AM UTC by CoasterMan23***

yep

MaRiJuAnA

Your sooo correct i noticed the same thing

I wish they would do that with Skyhawk.

Yeah, when I rode it last week it seemed longer than last year.

You know, I noticed that too. When I went with my class, around 20 of us (there were more but they we're still in the park) met up by Cedar Downs (rode it) and were about to go get ready to leave and decided to all get one last ride on maXair. We all got on and we're acting so crazy we had the ops laughing.:) Well, we ended up getting allllooottt more swings than I thought we we're going to get (based off last year). I thought they just gave us more cause we were the last riders of the day, and we were soo funny but if everybody else is more swings then I guess I was wrong.:)

But yeah, they should do the same with Skyhawk.

I know if they did that with Skyhawk it would be so much more popular.

I love the ride....but a few more swings of that airtime wouldn't hurt.:)

It sure wouldnt TTD 120mph =} *** Edited 5/23/2006 1:34:53 AM UTC by CoasterMan23***

if skyhawk is already tanking on load times, there's no way they'd make the ride cycle longer. they'd wait until season 2 (like with maXair) and THEN increase it when lines are shorter.

^ I think they should decrease the load times this year and definately increase the cycle this year, it is just to short. *** Edited 5/23/2006 1:44:54 AM UTC by CoasterMan23***

The ride is great now with so many more swings! I knew they had lengthened the ride time, but wow! :)

You'll probably never see a much longer ride cycle on SkyHawk than what you do now. Perhaps there is enough air left in the tanks for 1 or 2 more swings, but past that, I think it would be pushing it.

Remember, air is needed to slow it down, too.

Now I'm not so sure.... I rode maXair yesterday and it seemed like the swing count was back down again. Not nearly what it was before (2005), but I didn't think there were as many as the last few times I rode it.... but I could be wrong.

When I rode it on both June 3 and 4, the swing times have definitely seemed to have increased.

I think the ride cycle has gotton longer also.

Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27

Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini

Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-

It has definitely gotten longer. I just think that since the time it got longer, it got just a little bit shorter.

Nope, still running the same new program.

As for Skyhawk getting a longer cycle effecting capacity, Skyhawk is actually doing better than maXair in capacity.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
