Mean Streak?

You know, I don't know what you guys were talking about for a 30 min. Wait for MS yesterday. I walked on front row at 1 PM

My wife and son waited a little over a half hour at 3.

That seems a little extreme. With three train operation and a coaster that I believe does not have a midcourse block, I don't think 30 seconds is possible for the previous train to even clear the lift.

No it's not. They would dispatch it and it would have to wait a couple seconds on the transfer track. Worked well though. They would open the air gates and start counting down. They were really keeping people moving. I'd say the average was 45 seconds but they were achieving 30 seconds. I got about nine rides in while still being able to ride every other coaster in the park. Some twice. This was on a Sunday!

Well then color me impressed. That is truly awesome. I was at Busch Gardens Tampa on Friday and was cringing at 4-5 minute dispatches on Montu, Kumba, and Sheikra.

If I remember right, it takes almost 20 seconds for the train to enter the station. Or are you saying 30 seconds after it parks? That's a different story. (And closer to 1 minute, by my math.)

That "RMC" stake rates about a 9.0 on my "troll-O-meter".

The first thing I noticed is that the spray paint dots are obviously facing the queue line.

No. I'm talking about once it comes to a complete stop.

There are also numerous footers along Perimeter Road that are marked. I'm not one to say its meaningful, could just be footers that need to have maintenance done on them. I just don't think the park would mark that many footers just to troll enthusiasts. And if they do, i applaud them.

That stake? That's probably trolling. lol

I just wish Cedar Point would RMC that piece of crap and get it over with. We've been talking about an RMC Mean Streak for years, they know we want it. Just freaking do it already!

I don't want RMC to touch it. I'd rather have them build an original ride elsewhere.

As has been discussed to death, a couple dozen enthusiasts do not make the business decisions for Cedar Point. If they decide it is good for business, it will be done. If not, it won't.

Have you ever been on an RMC? Just curious. They are phenomenal. I personally think an RMC Mean Streak could be the best one. It's such a long ride and has a lot of space over there. The possibilities are endless. I love GCI Woodies but I want to see RMC take a crack at Mean Streak over a new GCI.

O I know, we're a tiny minority. They got to think about the general public. I got to believe though, an RMC Mean Streak would be one of the most popular rides in the park. I'm sure it would be cheaper to do that, then buying a new shiny B&M. They could go the tear down and GCI route which is fine too. Either way whatever they do, it's got to be a world class Wood Coaster. Not another B&M please...

I'd love for the park to keep building B&M's. Best all around ride experiences in my opinion. I have never been on a B&M that I didn't like except for the stand-ups. I agree that they should so for a larger variety of manufacturers, but if they keep building B&M's then that's great in my book. They are running out of B&M's to build though.
I'm all for a Mean Streak Iron Horse but I don't know if it will ever happen. The park has so many areas to develop right now.

I think a RMC Mean Streak probably would be one of the most popular rides in the park and one fantastic ride experience. And if they do it, that would be the reason they do it. Not because a small group of enthusiasts, collectively called by you as "we", talk about it.

Mean streak this week sunday-Thursday has had consistent wait lines, not long but the trains have been full for a good chunk of the day. Until the end of the last hour or two when even MF was almost a walk in and Valravyn was about 20minutes.
We are staying at lighthouse point with direct view of MS lift hill.

The ride itself was noticeably better, the several times we rode it, so maybe the train refurbishment did some good work.

But as always there are people complaining how rough or how it needs to be removed on the walk out of the station.

What's left, really? Flyer? Hyper? Giga (if that's what they call their 300ft+ coasters)? Would it make sense to add a speed coaster that would possibly make Magnum feel (gasp!) obsolete? Maybe the first B&M kiddy coaster?
