MF & the Summer Spectacular

CP has always announced that: "due to the nature of the Summer Spectacular, queue lines for the Space Spiral, Iron Dragon, WildCat, Giant Wheel, Dodgem 2, and C.P. & L.E. Railroad will close early. The closing times will vary and will be designed to allow everyone to ride before the show begins. These rides will reopen only on nights with 11PM or midnight closings."

My question is, does Millennium Force fall into this catagory as well? And if it does, how early will they have to close the queue prior to the 10PM start of the "laser, light & sound extravaganza"? Especially if the queue for MF on a Saturday in July and August is running at 2+ hours.

And is the Giant Wheel going to be included since it has been moved next to DT?
No MF will not be included- they consistantly run MANTIS during the Spec. MF's queue will not affect the Spec's performance, and lasers are
not shot (directley at) in the ride's direction as is Space Spiral.

I wonder ...

The final banked turn is in directly behind the laser screen (i.e. where the Giant "closed during the laser show" Wheel was last year). The Mantis is much further away.

I'm not saying it will be or it won't be, because I don't know. Just a thought.

One of the problems with the Giant Wheel was that to operate it after dark, the lighting package...well, the cabin lights, anyway...had to be turned on, which would be quite a distraction to the laser show, located as it was directly behind the @#$! screen.

Since the MF trains do not have headlamps, I don't expect this to be a problem with MF's final turn.

Just speculation, of course, but it makes sense...

I dont think they will shut down MF during the show. The cue for MF will probably be right by mantis, im not sure though. And they do run Mantis during the show.

The queue will be in the last turn you can see on the Web cam, precisely nowhere near Mantis or its queue (which will incidentally be entered in to from the area near the exit).

HA! That means we can run of MF and go straight to Mantis. Oh the Joy!

No, the Mantis entrance will be next to the Mantis exit on the Mantis side of the railroad, precisely nowhere near MF's exit (which I assume is going to be where you see the new structure for on-ride photos next to the straight before the final turn).

Okay no I am really confused. Because from your earleir post it sounded like MF exit was right across from Mantis que-line. Sorry!

It is now but it will change this year. Basically you won't have to walk past the railroad to get to the mantis entrance. It will be right next to its exit. Somewhere near the photo building where you get your mantis pictures.

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!

Oh... thank you I had no idea. So will that create a longer or shorter quing line? I'm sure it won't be by much anywayz, but I was just wondering.
