MF cloaked at over 100 MPH's!!

Hey all, i was watching the news last night on pittsburgh channel 21 and they had a speacil on MF and they said that it was cloaked at over 100 miles per hour!! Does anyone know if this is true? Jeff??

I was just about to say. "WHAT! THEY MADE IT DISAPPEAR?!!!"
I think in a previous thread we calculated the absolute max speed around 96MPH, and unless the lift was running extremly fast, I would doubt that 100MPH would happen
Once the ride is broken in and with the right weather conditions the trains could break 100.

I wouldn't be surprised.

"the Force of the new Millennium will be felt by those who choose to seek it."
A friend of mine who rode on AAA day said the same thing, they told them it clocked in at over 100mph. Acutally I heard this from several people.

The more you ride it, the more you want it!

Damn people...do you understand physics? The theoretical max speed for MF is around 96MPH. That's WITHOUT FRICTION. In a perfect vacuum with no friction, the lift would have to be moving 32 MPH in order for MF to hit 100MPH. That's going from station to crest in 9 seconds. Unless there is a huge wind behind the train at exactly the right angle (never gonna happen, it'd have to be blowing down at an 80 deg. angle), MF will NEVER hit 100MPH. I don't know where this rumor started, but it's rampant, and it's about as bad as Magnum sinking.

Dan is right!!! The trains COULD break 100! All you have to do is wait until the 400-foot tall coaster is built and put the trains on that track! There's nothing to stop the trains from breaking 100. :)

We've been through this several times now... the theoretical maximum speed is around 97 ignoring friction. Unless the laws of physics change, it will NEVER go 100.
