MF fatigue

I've begun to wonder something. How many of you agree that all of this speculation and all of these little pictures of MF are going to ruin some of the suprises of the ride. I mean it's not going to spoil it that much but I can see where you're going to know every twist, turn and hop before you even get on the ride. I'll admit, I want to go on this thing as much as anyone else, but sometimes too much of a good thing is bad.
Y'know Chris, not two hours ago I was thinking the same thing. I feel almost like the Jamacian bobsled team in the movie "Cool Runnings", where they're practicing in the bathtub leaning into the curves and so on. Thing is, MF is going to hold so many surprises that you can't quantify with photos or avi files - the screams of the riders, the roar in the curves, the changes in elevation, etc. I have a feeling that after one ride, the only "MF fatigue" will be coming from repeated standing in line for another ride.

A picture might be worth a thousand words, but I doubt very much it's worth falling at 80 degrees going 92 mph and pulling several G's at the bottom.

The scariest part will probably be the first turn. I can't imagine what it'll be like going that fast at the bottom, then going right! I'm so used to the first hill of a coaster going strieght up into the crest of the next hill. The turn at the bottom of that hill is gonna freak me out!

MF...taking thrills to new heights!
I agree. There is no way to know exactally what the overbanked turns will feel like untill one tries them.

I have to agree with Jeff. I don't all the pictures (and movies, and discussions, and...) in the world will quite prepare us for that first plunge.

I agree with Jeff, after seeing and taking countless pictures, talking and speculating about it, and walking the site several times, I get more excited with each passing minute. :)

It won't be long now!

yup agreed with all here. Just like watching the Raptor video it is nothing like riding it.

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!
CPcyclone mentioned the first turn after the hill. If anybody has been on Raging Bull it is basically the same design only on a smaller scale. "First drop and then a quick banked turn to the right". This element is just awesome!!!!!!
Having so much inofmation about the ride does take the mystery out of things though. Imagine getting on MF for the first time without knowing what was going to happen. You know you are going up 300 feet but other than that everything is a suprise.
I think that, by the time you get on the ride, you would pretty much know what to expect anyway. Most of the ride is out in plain sight. I tend to watch the cars and follow them through the course when I am waiting to ride.

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
When I'm on a coaster I tend to draw a blank after the first drop. Yes you can see most of the coaster in plain view but, everything is a suprise after the first drop. Same will hold true with MF, after the first big fall everything else will be a shock and unexpected.

I kinda like knowing what's coming up next, although I really don't think there will be much time to think about it on the first few rides. I remember my first ride on Magnum and Raptor; it was more like "I hope I live through this!"
Now I know when to reach for the big air or lean into the pretzel.

It will probably be a while before this point is reached on Millennium Force, no matter how many times I see the POV or look at the layout. Look at that "300 ft straight down" pic. It just makes the anticipation that much more intense.
