MF Trains are in!

Ok, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong Coaster Dynamix is making MF trains or at least they made a prototype for IAAPA along with a beast prototype. But let me say this before you all celebrate, they won't be moving statix like the Raptor ones.

So without further ado:

They are called "Statix" after all. And this was mentioned in the Raptor model thread.

Don't they run around $30?

So did they just make models of the train? I see that the entire Griffon coaster was made... if this is the case, I DEFINITELY have to get an MF model.

It is stated in the blog that the MF and Beast models are static, and do not function, or have a complete coaster circuit.

They also say in their forums that its just a quick prototype, the final production version will hopefully have the logos/ a little more detail. Because these are purely static, they should be cheaper than the raptor trains. So around (hopefully less) than $30 to answer your question dan

I was on the website and I couldn't find where you buy these things. So how can you get one?

Only the Raptor trains are currently available. MF trains are still prototype.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I will so get one when MF is launched. i would like to see some classic Arrow loopers too.

I don't get it. What are you supposed to do with the train? Sit there and stare at it? If they make an entire MF model circuit, then I may pull the wallet out of the pocket!

Are you someone who likes model cars? I know they aren't exactly the same (since you usually put together model cars), but these are basically model cars for people who like roller coasters.

As for a full circuit model of MF...can you imagine how huge that would be? If they keep their current scale, the thing would be big enough to take up the area that I'm currently sitting in (I would guesstimate approx. 9x9 ft. square). I know it could easily take up most of my living room at their current scale.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Well, yea! That's what I do with my Raptor, Hydra and Talon models! I personally think they are the most awesome things to come out for a while! I can't wait for MFs and The Beasts too! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

If you want to get the circuit do you have to put it together? If so does it have instructions?

FluffyliketheForce's avatar

Instructions are for the GP.

You memorize the layout and build it from that.

and you don't HAVE to put it together per say, but thats the general idea.

I talked to the guy yesterday. I think I remember him saying that the trains were going to be available around the beginning of next season and that they were gonna run for about $20-$25. And, if they do make actual Intamin track for a working model, it looks like it would only be triangle track (not that that's a bad thing, but that's just what he said).
