New Hotel Express prices

We have stayed at Breakers Express many times over the past several years and have always gotten a rate between $85-100 per night. Now I see they've renovated it and it is called just Express and their rates and packages are much more expensive than before. Any suggestions to save money on either tickets or staying at another hotel near Cedar Point? We've used the early entry in the past but at these new prices, I don't think it's worth it.

I doubt it is due to the renovation. I booked in February and got $79.00 a night.

It's the basic law of supply and demand, the more demand the higher the price.

Depending on how many days you stay it might be cheaper to get a Platinum Pass that includes early entry and free parking and stay at one of the many budget hotels in the area. The Gold Pass is cheaper but doesn't include free parking.

Last July we decided to stay overnight once and got a decent sub $100 rate at a Comfort Inn or similar in Milan that had a decent breakfast. Was only about a 20 minute drive from the park.
